Others say...
"The best "travel cup" so far, but not perfect..." The best "travel cup" so far, but not perfect...virtually spill-proof, but not te easiest to clean. A cleaning "trick", rinse the "inside" of the cap mechanism out immediately after using it... "Impossible to keep clean. Click lid no longer stays open!" Like most reviews I've seen for this, I loved it at first. It kept my drink warm for a reasonable amount of time and didn't leak a drop. After _several_ months (so at least I don't feel too jipped) I started noticing that rinsing it with soap and water wasn't getting inside the lid clean. It had also started "sticking" (which is why I noticed the gunk) so I tried my best to soak it, rinse it (repeat) and was pretty disgusted to see a lot of built up coffee "gunk" coming out for the few days I rinsed. Yuck. It was hard to get clean. After all that, though, the lid has stopped staying open. I think all the opening and closing I did while I tried to clean it broke some little plastic stopper inside the lid. "wonder mug" keeps liquids warm and almost entirely leakproof. i am completely satisfied with this object however, didn't give it 5 stars b/c it still leaks a little since sometimes the liquid remains in the lid apparatus. but the leakage is very small. all in all a must have!! "Works well, if you spill things" I bought this style of mug because I have a tendency to spill my drinks a lot. I can use it one handed in the car, and it works quite well from an ergonomic standpoint. I'd give it better marks if it kept my tea hot for longer though. It's good for driving to work and then having iced tea, though :) "Beverage smells and tastes like plastic, use stainless steel travel mugs" I bought and used this coffee mug, and I do not recommend it. The only reason is because my latte or tea tastes and smells like plastic whenever I use this mug. This is made of plastic (polycarbonate) and gives the chemical taste and smell to my drink. Polycarbonates leach hormone-disrupting chemicals into your beverage and also they can not be recycled easily. If you do not want to risk your health and use a more environmentally benign product, just use stainless steel travel mugs. I would go with the stainless steel version of the same brand. The design is nice and the seal works pretty well.

What our customer's say! "My Favorite Travel Mug!", I have been using this brand of travel mug for over a year and I love it! I use a travel mug every day and have tried many different kinds (slip-on tops, screw-on tops) and this is the only one I've found that really DOES NOT LEAK (and I have had it roll all over my car, have dropped it several times, etc.). I love the one-handed opener, too. I have not had the cleaning problems described by others - I just make sure the lid is open while I'm washing it. Absolutely the best travel mug I've found. "Survived a car wreck...didn't spill a drop!", Oxo Good Grips LiquiSeal Travel Mug Amazing product! I was in a horrible car accident this week...I was t-boned in the drivers side by a large utility van. (Luckily, I survived with only minor injuries!) I had my Oxo Good Grips LiquiSeal travel mug in hand (clicked "closed") during the time of impact. It went flying down the road about 30ft (along with everything else in my vehicle)...and when I picked it back up down the road, it was not only perfectly intact, but it hadn't spilled a drop! I am impressed beyond words! "2nd OXO", This is my second OXO Liquiseal travel mug; the first one lasted four years, until the rubber-disc sealing gasket dislodged from its attachment. At a price of about 9 or 10 bucks, that's pretty cheap annually. This mug seals tight, does not spill. I've seen some previous reviews about the "gunk," etc., which lodges in the cover. Well, did it ever cross your mind to clean the thing? I rinse mine with very hot water after every use, shake the excess water off/out, and I've never had a problem, never had to "ream" it out, never had it clog. Best travel mug on the market that I've found for the price. "Lasted 6 months", I've had this mug for 6 months. I got it for a long bus commute to work in DC. First, you cannot take the top apart to clean it. After about 3 months, the rubber gaskets started falling out (I have only hand-washed this mug). Annoying, but I could tuck them back in; however, eventually, it became a routine. Around the 6 month mark, the button on the top started sticking in, so it wouldn't close without working at it, trying to get my fingernail under it to pull it out, and eventually stopped closing at all. I would have to take the top off, and push the plunger back up into it to get it to close. Tonight after soaking the top in vinegar overnight, I took all the gaskets out and held it up to the light so I could see how dirty it was inside. Crud and gunk (looked like barnacles, no kidding) was all up inside of the top. Ugh.. Yeah.. so here I am.. looking for another mug. Don't buy this thing. Spend a little more money and get something that comes apart. "Lasted 6 months", I've had this mug for 6 months. I got it for a long bus commute to work in DC. Read this reviews before You buy... "Tastes and smells like plastic, go with stainless steel", I bought and used this coffee mug, and I do not recommend it. "If only ...", This coffee mug has one of the best lids I've ever used and the mug is a good size ... ...if only it kept the coffee hot - or even warm would be good. Coffee just doesn't stay hot in plastic mugs, even double walled, and ... plastic does unpleasant things to the taste of coffee! "No leaks and no drips", My favorite travel mug. No leaking, and no DRIPPING! I am one of those people who always has a coffee stain on her shirt. Not with this mug. The way the lip of the mug is shaped and textured, I have never dripped coffee on myself. ![]() |
