Others say...
"not worth it" They are not worth the work to fill them. One thing I like about my Senseo is the froth it delivers and I could not duplicate that with these pads. I filled them to capacity and brewed at the 1 cup setting and still ended up with a weak, frothless cup of coffee "Don't bother" I have been using the ecopads for about a year - they work great but I hate emptying and cleaning them so I thought I would give these Melitta pads a try. I think they are worthless. I tried adding the same amount of coffee in them as I do the ecopads but they won't hold that much (1 & 1/2 teaspoons) and I could not figure out how to close the flap to keep the coffee from spilling out. Once I got the flap as closed as possible I put it in the senseo machine and it didn't work at all - coffee grounds leaked out of the filter and clogged the system. Back to the ecopads for me. "Finally, a product worthy of my nifty little machine!" I got a free Senseo coffee maker as a part of the Share Senseo program, I would never have bought one for myself. We love our French Press. When the Senseo arrived, I could not believe how easy it was to use. And I could not believe how disgusting the coffee tasted. I didn't know whether it was a design flaw or just really lousy coffee. After trying all manner of Senseo pods, I decided to jury-rig a homemade pod using a coffee filter and some Starbucks Breakfast Blend. Well, it was a nice cup of coffee, a bit weak, but the flavor was definitely there. So when I saw these filterpads, I had to try them. They work a treat! I thought they'd rip, but they are very durable and easy to fill. The pods take exactly four measuring teaspoons of filter ground coffee. I filled two pods and made one great cup of coffee, complete with the little froth on top. Then I spent about 10 minutes and filled up 20 pods to fill my Senseo canister. If you love your Senseo but hate the coffee, grab a box of these pods. Now you can have your great coffee and drink it, too.

What our customer's say! "Will definately buy again", These filterpads are perfect for anyone who wants the convienance of pods with the flavor of their favorite coffee. Its not a matter of math, for me Senseo is terrible and with these I am still saving alot over getting a cup from starbucks or Dunkies. These pads will hold 4tsp (actual tsp not a metal spoon) maximum as indicated, I easilly fill mine with 3tsp. The first batch or two were experimental but after getting the hang of it I can easily make 10 in <5 minutes for the week. To me you cant beat a cup of coffee that is cheeper than buying, no grinds to deal with, taste great. "Does the job", Good inexpensive way to use your own coffee to make pods. It takes a little practice to be able to the fill the pods as full as they need to be and close the pod well. In my experience the pod needs to be as full as possible. Would buy again but think these will last a long time as I just use them when we have left over coffee from gatherings when I use my regular coffee maker. Otherwise it is just so much more convenient to use premade pods. "Great way to save money and enjoy ANY coffee!", I am confused as to why another reviewer said "The math does not add up". I got 3 for $17.97 plus about $6.60 shipping. That comes to 16 cents a filter and I can now use ANY coffee I want. I currently use Starbucks coffee in my Senseo, and sometimes I buy a flavored coffee at the store as well. My cost per 8oz cup is less that 25 cents with a good coffee. So I am speding far less than I used to and get great coffee to boot. Even better is that I discovered I can put tea in the filters and make tea too! Also my friend owns a Melitta One machine, and these filters work perfectly in her machine too! Thank you Melitta! I LOVE these filters! "The math doesn't add up", I can buy a pack of 18 Senseo Coffee Pods from any local Grocery Store. I regularly buy them with a $2 off on 3 packs coupon attached to the package. So, I buy 3 packs at a time, and save $2 each time. The end result is, I am paying $3.33 per 18 pack of pods, or $0.185 per pod. I use two pods per cup of coffee - I like it strong - so my coffee and filter costs per cup of coffee are $0.37/cup. The Melitta fillable filters offered here are $7.24 + $4.99 s/h = $12.23/50 pods or $0.245/pod JUST for the filters. If I use two per cup of coffee, that's $0.49/cup JUST for the filters and I still need to add the Coffee . . . The math doesn't add up to me . . . I'll just keep buying the packs at the Grocery Store. "Great idea and handy", I have a Melitta One coffee maker and no one makes fillable pods for it. I tried Ecopads (they are too large) and the Padfilters (though made by Melitta, they were also too large). But these filters work great! You have to use a good strong coffee to get a good strong cup of coffee, but no problem there. I wish Melitta included a free pack with my machine so I knew they existed last year. ![]()
