"this thing works no more" I bought it, tried everything, now, it's not working at all. It's dead.. don't buy this refurbished. "I figured out how to get it to work easily" after several attempts to get this to work on my XP computer, I finally got it, the directions are terrible, I installed the cd, then rebooted my system, I plugged in the keychain to my usb drive, then on the keychain I selected usb update and pressed the center button on the keychain, waited a few seconds and the computer said found new hardware and went through the steps of installing it, when it said new hardware installed ready to use or wording near that, I started the program and IT WORKED YAHHH, uploading images was great from that point. I will be ordering another one for my husband "My Wife Loves "her" Digital Photo Keychain" I ordered this photo keychain for my wife. She loves carrying photos of all of our family and showing off our granddaughters too. "She" was able to load the program within mintues and loaded 26 photos within a few minutes. She took it to church with her that night and started showing off the family!! It is worth the points. Everyone should have one - good gift also. "Very good works great!" People say this doesn't work, it does! You just have to know how to do it.. you might have to select the USB update or refresh w/e it says, whenever I do that it works right of way! Also if you try running the software w/o the keyright plugged in, it won't work! So just make sure it's plugged in AND the computer has found the hardware, then it will work. I just don't like how the photo screen is square instead of the shape of a digital photo, but you can chose what part you want in and how much of the photo. I also wish you could store as many pictures that will fit into the storage space, not just 60 regardless of size! Otherwise great product! Thank you pepsi stuff! :) "Love this Nice Photo Viewer" This is definitely worth getting if you want a tiny picture album I was able to install the software and quickly update a handful of pictures in less then 15 minutes. The Picture Viewer program was fairly easy to use. Just pick a bunch of pictures on your drives, add them to your collection and then upload the collection to the key chain. Adding more pictures to collection later on was no problem. There is a counter on the program that will only allow you to store 62 pictures max.

What our customer's say! "Coby photo keychain", After receiving my coby 1.5 photo keychain, I made many attempts to load the software for my windows xp, nothing worked. I then went to coby's website and downloaded my software from them. It worked great. Please note that when loading your pictures, I was not able to load a few and then go back and reload more. So, I deleted what I already had downloaded, then added all of them together. I works great, pictures are very clear. "Simple, great picture quality", Nice little product. Seems cheap, is very light, but works as intended. Software was easy to install, had no problems with my PC recognizing it (my computer won't even recognize it's own sound card half the time either!) Seems to hold charge for a good amount of time, haven't had one problem out of it. Has accepted every picture format I've put on it, pics from a digital camera and a camera phone. Do wish it had external MicroSD expandable memory slot though, then there'd be nothing left to improve on. Really wanted the black one but can only get white with Pepsi points. Oh well, I still like it "I love it!!", The Coby digital keychain turned out to be better than I thought it would be. I was leary due to the low cost of this item but it turned out to be really great! It is easy to use and convenient to carry around I love it! What a great way to carry pictures of your kids and friends! "Not bad for the price.", Works great. Easy to load up photos. Some negatives: photo number display during slideshow and a low battery life. "Great for what you are paying for", Great item as a replacement for the purse/wallet picture stack. With 3-4hr charge time, should be able to show plenty of people favorite photos of kids, grandkids, vacation spot, family, ect. 4 star because it requires charging only by USB port. Recognize at this price point a charger could not be supplied, but a solution to work with a common charger style would be nice. Especially when this is a gift for those not tech savvy, or actually without a computer (grandparents and parents - yes, no computer). Nice requirement to hold down On/Off button to turn on - no accidental battery drain. Recommend using something like free IrfanView to mass convert desired pre-cropped pictures to 128x128 byte size. Not sure how well the included software does it, or how slow it would have been. But when already done, the upload is very quick. Software and instructions don't match up exactly, and app buttons used aren't in order of use, but can still figure it out. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "ehh for pepsi points its ok", I wouldnt have spent 15 bucks on it, but i got it for pepsi points, the screen is small and the colors are dim, other than that it was very easy to set up. "Unusable with XP - No Action from Colby", I, too, am unable to use my keychain. The software will not work, so you cannot load the photos. I have emailed Colby and the software manufacturer and neither company has replied. I am very disappointed with the response. "Very impressed!", I was very impressed with this product. I had no problem installing the software (I am running Windows Vista), and had no issues connecting it to my computer via the usb cable. After charging the unit I was able to upload photos to it immediately, with no complications. The picture quality is much better than I expected, very acceptable for a product of this nature. The menu system easily allows you to customize a few options (time & date stamp, slideshow on/off, etc...). I used Pepsi Points to get this product, but I would have been just as pleased had I paid for it. "Help for Windows XP users", I had this keychain for four days before I finally figured out how to get it to work with XP. I even called tec support and downloaded the driver and that didnt work. When I tried to open the Photo Viewer I got a message that said cannot find file. What finally worked was to right click on the Photo Viewer icon on my desktop and click properties, click on compatability and in the drop down menu (run this program with compatability for) choose windows 2000. After that I plugged in my keychain and it popped right up! I love it now, the pictures are very clear and it is easy to use, well worth the points!Coby 1.5-Inch Digital Photo Keychain (White) "Works great, no problem", I cashed in my Pepsi points to get this keychain despite all the bad reviews about how it doesn't work. I have Windows XP and had no problem getting it to work. I love it and am saving points to get one for my mom and boyfriend. :) |
