"Bissell 1867-7 Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner", I received the item within 3 days of ordering. Assembly was easy. Plug in & ready to use within couple minutes. Cleaned vinyl floor in kitchen ok. Also used on carpet in foyer, with cleaning pad on, difficult but doable. Did remove surface dirt from carpet. Can also use on carpet w/o pad. Did not notice any excess water on vinyl flooring when using. However, on ceramic tile, noticed excess water. Cord length is adequate, but is used in areas that are adjacent to each other and small in size.

For a small space, room size ~200 sq.ft. can use w/o extension cord. Those who have to use in multiple rooms will have the hassle of plugging & unplugging to use in different rooms. There is no on/off switch, need to unplug to turn off. Also, after removing water tank, need to plugin and use trigger to remove any excess water still in the unit. Like the removeable, washable pad (2). For those whose machine leaves excess water, could use the extra pad to dry the floor. The machine is sturdy and lightweight (w/body) so that you feel you have the power in the machine w/o having to exert extra push to get the job done. Purchased as a goldbox special, so paid a decent price. I would use this unit even w/o electricity/steam.

"Its All Wet", Well it arrived and I was excited to try this mop out. I did everything it said to do and my hard floors were soaked after I used this mop so much so that I had to dry all of them using a dry mop. The point was to ease the job of mopping not having to do this 2 times Would not recomend this unless you enyoy mopping your floors twice. I was very disappointed.

It is amazing how quickly floors can get dirty on a daily basis. With
a family of five not counting two dogs, my floors see a lot of
traffic. Their weekly mopping requires a couple gallons of water and
cleaning solution (Mrs. Meyer's) then after all the labor, you have to
wait for them to dry.

But, comparable to an iron, this Bissell Steam Mop takes only seconds to get hot using a small amount of electricity. The water reservoir is tiny because it only needs a small amount of water to produce beautifully clean floors. This purchase was quickly justified by the reduction in water and cleaning solutions needed, not to mention the replacement of mopping equipment.

"helpful hint", I received my steam mop, put it together and couldn't make it work so called Bissell. They lead me through the proper assembly and now it works like a champ! I love that I no longer have to use harmful chemicals and my floors are more clean for it.

"Mop works great!", I have a tiled entryway and a laminate kitchen, dining room floor. Lots of square feet to clean. I have a bad back and a mop you have to put pressure on makes mopping the floor a real chore. Not so with the Bissell steam mop. It cleans like a dream, more like pushing a vacuum cleaner around than actually mopping. As others noted you shouldn't let the floor get too grimy before cleaning it, but that isn't a problem since the Bissell makes such short and easy work out of cleaning it. Also, if you have soap, etc on your floor from cleaning it previously, the floor will streak the first few times you use the Bissell, but when you eliminate all the soap it's fine. Great little mop for both tile and laminate floors.

"BISSELL STEAM MOP", I really like the ease of using this product. It heats up quickly and moves around easily. Even though the floor does not dry immediately, it does a great job. It would be nice if the cord was longer but that would not keep me from recommending this product to others.

"great steamer", This is a great steamer. I tried the shark and lysol steamers before getting this one. This is an overwhelming winner. It has the trigger that the other 2 were lacking. I like to use a lot of steam and this lets me. I also love that it heats up in around 30 seconds and you can refill at any time. Those are some of the great features.
Make sure you get enough pads. I have to switch them out a few times while cleaning because I use so much steam, but I have 4 pads so its not a problem.

"Great product that does what it says-very happy!!", I would very much recommend this product, no chemicals, limited effort, very easy to use, with an excellent result at a reasonable cost. The steam mop does exactly what it says...cleans only with hot water. It is not made for wood or Pergo flooring and says that in the instructions, "don't use on wood or any flooring that is not sealed". It was made to use on linoleum (which I have), tile, or any of that type of sealed finish flooring, so those who have been unhappy with the result on their wood type floor should have read the instructions. I mop often and having had back problems over the years, which mopping seems to aggravate, I decided that this would be just the thing...and what a pleasure it turned out to be! My floor not only looks great, but feels great on bare feet. No hard labor and no back ache! It is light weight with a swivel head to get into corners and the pads are machine washable, just throw them in the laundry and because of its size very easy to store. I am not alone in my appreciation of this product, as I have friends who have purchased it and also love it.

"Finally a way to clean grout!", My entire home is Italian tile and I worried about germs in the grout. I have grand-children that play on the floors and it is great to finally be able to feel that the entire floor is clean. I have a house keeper and she is the one that told me about it. She likes it better than the Shark.

"Great Cleaner", I just purchased this steam cleaner. I hate making preparations in cleaning our floor at home. All you do is just fill the plastic container with distilled water and connect it back on the steamer and presto, you are ready. The only drawback is that you have to remove the towel that fits over the steamer to clean it each time.
