"I love my Scoomba, aka Ethel!"
I have 3 children, 4 dogs, and a whole lot of hardwood floors (because of the dogs). Scoomba does an excellent job of shining my hardwoods and goes and goes throughout the main floor. My only recomendation is to buy an additional light house. However, this beauty works well with either the clorox solution or vinegar and water. My wood floors SHINE! While opening the Scoomba for cleaning is a bit of a chore, just work it gently and it will open for you. Even my friend that cleans our home every week has found the floors to be even better than her mopping. Love it, recommend it, just maintain her, she's wonderful :)

"good product which still has alot of room for improvement"
as a floor scrubber and mop, it works great. now if only irobot can include maintainance guides on how to protect the soft/rubber parts and perhaps a docking option

"OK, this thing is amazing"
I studied the reviews here prior to purchasing our Scooba. I was expecting functional, say able to accompolish 90% of the cleaning job, from this little machine.

Set up was fast and straightforward. One hour after opening the box, I had the machine assembled, battery charged, and loaded with suds. Placed it on the kitchen floor, pushed the switch, and ... went for a walk!

When I returned, I discovered a pure white (I thought it was gray) kitchen floor. Clean and dry! The Scooba did a MUCH better job than I could ever do - 110%. Not even a crumb in a corner! I was flat out amazed at how good a job cleaning this little guy does.

Cleaning the Scooba was equally straitforward. The filter picked up cat hair (we have three!) and various other small objects. The dirty water tank attested to how much dirt the little guy washed up.

I highly recommend this machine to anyone wanting a really clean floor and a little extra free time!

"Great - Saved my time & my back"
One of the greatest inventions from a husband's perspective. No more back-breaking. Great when you just don;t have time. Was skeptical about it at first, but after seeing it work. Wonderful. Only gripe is the sound. I have an infant and I thought she was crying. Otherwise, a husband's lifesaver when the wife asks you constantly to sweep/mop the hardwood floors.iRobot Scooba 350 Floor-Washing Robot

"Robot A+, Amazon.com B"
Love the Scooba from IRobot. The product delivers what it promises. However, Amazon delivered it minus the instruction manual. I called Amazon customer service and they essentially said "Not our problem call IRobot yourself." I did that very thing and the IRobot people were very nice and mailed me a manual within 3 days which is great considering I did not order my Scooba directly from them. I also own a Roobma vaccum from IRobot and I love both of my robots!

What our customer's say!

"Does the job, but leaves some touch-up work", well, it works, that's the good news. The tank full of dirty water is proof that it's doing the job. The bad news is that it doesn't do corners, and if you have a lot of dust (say, pet hair) you're probably best off doing some vaccuming first because it doesn't deal well with light things like hair that blow around instead of being trapped under the robot.

In short:
Pros:
1. It gets the floor clean
2. It works well w/vineagar, which is good news for those who prefer natural cleaning things intead of chemicals
3. it's pretty easy to clean up - just empty the tank, pop the brush and the filter and run them under the tap.
4. It leaves the floor reasonably dry.

Cons:
1. You'll go absolutely batty if you hang around and try to watch it work. It almost invariably does what i consider the wrong thing (like going the wrong way or going straight when it should be spiralling). save yourself the hassle - walk away and come back to a clean floor. It eventually does the job, and who cares if it takes more time? it's the robot's time, not yours.
2. it doesn't do corners. problem.
3. Occasionally the cycle has stopped in the middle (i think i had a dirty tank).
4. it's loud. really, really loud.
5. would be nice if it could handle more than 12' by 12' on 1 tank.

Overall, good product, if a little pricey (i bought it refurbished and have had no problems...)

"SCOOBA NEEDS TO GET SMARTER", During the time I am writing this, my Scooba has ended up stuck on my floor heating grate FOUR TIMES!! Does this thing ever learn? It can - obviously - not be left alone, just like a child. Scooba has also managed to get itself stuck under my kitchen kabinets over and over. As far as I know, our kitchen kabinets are standard height from the floor. Why does Scooba then get stuck under them over and over? If I have to supervise it the whole time, I cannot say that it frees up time for me. Scooba does not get a passing grade from me, I am sorry to say. I am the happy owner of a Roomba, which I absolutely adore!

"IT'S GREAT IF YOUR HOUSE IS ALREADY CLEAN", IF YOU HAVE NO CHILDREN OR DOGS THIS PRODUCT WOULD BE GREAT FOR YOU.
HOWEVER IF YOU'RE BUYING IT TO ACCTUALLY CLEAN DIRTY FLOORS I WOULDN'T.
AFTER USEING IT ONE TIME I KNOW I AM GOING TO RETURN IT.

"Customer Service is TERRIBLE", The good news/bad news:
The product is WONDERFUL, but it is, after all, an electronic that may need to be replaced. It has seriously changed my life, and I would recommend this product IF you have the patience to deal with the morons who run their customer service department. My Scooba was under warranty, and after an exhaustive process with the CS people, they agreed to replace my Scooba with a brand new one. Here's the rub, I had to take the old Scooba, ship it back at my expense, and then wait until their warehouse received the damaged Scooba in their warehouse. From there, I had to wait another 2-3 weeks for my replacement. The most aggravating aspect for me was that the customer service agent actually acted as if he was doing me a favor. Given the fact that I already own two Roombas, and a Dirt Dog, and now, my broken Scooba, you'd think they'd have been more helpful in expediting replacements. Not so. I hope they get their act together.

"Great Floor washer", This is the best think ever happen to me, the first times you have to wash the same spot several times with in a week my hole floor was shining and it just take 45 minutes per zone to clean up.

"Should have a charging dock.", I am pleased with the overall operation and performance of the SCOOBA but my SCOOBA was not good at detecting a carpeted area and "wet on the rug" before it just stopped there. It only has one virtual wall and the ROOMBA virtual walls are not compatible with it, so it is difficult to keep it roped in with only one virtual wall. It would also be nice if they enhanced it to have a charging base and be able to return to it for charging like the ROOMBA does.

"Not Perfect, but close enough", Works quite well. It will still miss a spot here and there, but the fact that you don't have to mop 95% of the floor by hand makes up for this short fall. I use it about twice a week just to keep up on the floors and it works great.

"Goodbye Dirty Floors", I have the iRobot 350 Scooba and the 4220 Discovery floor vac and love them both! Scooba cleans the floors so good and the vac is quick and does a much better job than I would. I have hardwood floors and a small 2 Bedroom condo around 800 Sq.ft. What I do is let Scooba clean half my place every week or two. It takes about an hour to clean half my place and I have to drain/fill the tank every 30 min. or so. The battery runs about an hour and 15 min. One day I came in the living room and saw my six year old son in his white school shirt laying on the floor pushing himself around. I could not believe my eyes; I had him sit up and I looked at his shirt and there was no dirt on his white shirt. Before irobot I would have just thrown the shirt away I'm sure! It's just the two of us guys living here at our guy place and all I can say is we are not used to living in this clean place yet. I would have bought these years ago if I would have known. My son has some allergies and I have noticed a huge improvement since we got the robots. We also get some entertainment watching the cat run from them. I did buy the Discovery vac as well because I wasn't sure if I needed both the Scooba and a vac? You can get by with only the Scooba if you don't mind extra work; I do so I'm glad I bought both. The of con of only buying the Scooba is that it is a lot slower and you need to empty water etc... The vac can clean my entire place in about an hour and return itself to the base all on one charge. You only need to empty the dirt every few cleanings so it's very easy. I didn't give the Scooba 5 stars only because of the price and time of operation. I feel for the price they should give you a couple batteries and a way to have them charged. I think being able to clean an 800 sq.ft. place for the Scooba is a reasonable request. Their vacs can do it. I'm still so glad I bought it; however look forward to possible upgrades or may consider buying an additonal battery.

"iRobot Scooba 350 floor-washing robot", Works like a dream! Definitely worth the investment. Leaves the floor looking and smelling clean. Quiet, efficient cleaning. Love it!

"Scooba 350 Floor-Washing Robot", This is an awesome product! Scooba's brush scrubs the floor and the vacuum tube sucks up the dirt. Mops just spread dirt around - Scooba picks up dirt. You can tell by the black water afterwards.

Easy operation - Just push a button and it goes.

Easy clean-up - A quick rinse of the brush and tubes and its good to go!

No corner left unclean - Scooba systematically cleans the room and gets every corner.
