"beautiful quality magnetic trivet", This trivet is wonderful it works just as it was intended and designed to... it is a trivet designed to save your table from serving your meal in your functional and elegant STAUB heat retaining cast iron cookware. The magnetic holds very well to the bottom of your pot or pan, so long as your now swinging it around, after all enamel is supposed to be smooth finished and have a certain glide-over aspect. We are very happy with this product as we have used it both with a Staub Casserole and Saute pan and it really does prevent heat transfer that can damage the finish of your table, unlike a cast iron or other metal trivet. Another addition that we love is that we do not have to transfer the food into another dish to serve. Thus helping in the after dinner clean-up.

"Great free item", I received this as a free item when I purchesed my Staub Cocotte. So for free this items is very nice for a trivet. It has a very small magnet on the underside that works, but slides around when on the underside of the pot while being carried. It's also rather small for my 5Qt pot, but like i said as a free add in I can't complain, but I would not recommend buying it separately.
