This is an adequate oven mitt, but there are so many better ones out there (I recommend Lekue). Still, see this one demonstrated here. Your hand feels like it's kind of trapped in a huge plastic device, and you lose lots of mobility.

Barely recommended, just because it is certainly quite sturdy.

"Have used for years...", I really love this oven mitt. I have never had any big problems with it and I have had it for almost 3 years. The only problem I have ever had is when taking things out of the oven that are an awkward shape, you need a better grip for doing this. But over all its an awesome oven mitt. It is also very easy to clean just pop it in the dishwasher. I have also not had any problem with using this glove for up to 500 degrees.

"Buy the Farberware version - it works much better.", My hand started to burn taking something out of a 350-degree oven! It just didn't work well.
