"CAN"T TELL ITS A REFURB, LOOKS BRAND NEW."
DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU PAID FOR THS JUICER, DETERMINES HOW MUCH YOU'RE GONNA LIKE IT. AS FOR QUALITY OF BUILD,ITS BUILT LIKE A SMALL TANK,WITH PLENTY OF POWER. AND WITH THE TWO SPEED MOTOR, YOU CANT BEAT IT. I'M NOT PLEASED WITH THE AMONT OF JUICE YOU GET, BUT THIS IS MY FIRST JUICER, SO, I'M NOT SURE WHAT AMOUNT OTHERS PUT OUT TO COMPARE. MAINTENANCE IS PRETTY EASY, TAKE ABOUT 10 MINUTES TO CLEAN PROPERLY. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOGH SPACE TO LAY ALL THE COMPONETS OUT WHEN YOU'RE DONE. OVERALL A GOOD VALUE FOR THE PRICE I PAID, EVEN IF I HAD PAID A LITTLE MORE, I THINK I'D STILL BE HAPPY.

"A few problems"
I bought this juicer from another retailer and it was brand new for $99.99 CDN. I used it for the first time today and found a few problems.

It is very loud. This probably takes some time getting use to since I use to find my blender to be too loud as well but now I'm ok with the level of sound. As one reviewer said, it's as loud as a blender and not louder than that.

Yes it is big but I saw the model in the store I bought it from before buying it. I wanted a juicer of great quality so I knew it would have a large footprint. If you don't have much counter space in the kitchen, please read the dimensions before buying it.

I found that when I juiced a grapefruit and plum through it (after peeling the rind off the grapefruit and taking the pit out of the plum) some of the juice/pulp came shooting back up in bits from the feeding tube. Needless to say I jumped back as I was not expecting bits of food to be shot back up the feeding tube. I suppose this is because of the feeding chute being right above the motor blade as oppose to being on an angle. This is the biggest dissapointment for me.

What I do like is the froth seperator in the container that is provided. My friend has a Jack Lalannes juicer which seems quite popular but he doesn't have the froth seperator and I'm not a fan of drinking the foam part.

All in all because this is my first juicer, I'm on my way to buy a Jack Lalannes juicer or a Breville juicer to try it out. If they also spit out fruit bits up the feeding chute then I guess I'll keep whichever one is cheaper.

"Great buy"
I was a little concerned due to the fact it is reconditioned. Works great, and the price was unbeatable. It's big, but I knew that when I purchsed it. Noisy-yes, but knew that too. Cleans up easy enough.

"Waring Pro Remanufactured Juicer"
This is the first juicer we've owned. It was too good a deal to pass up, so we decided to give it a shot. Only one con so far - it's HUGE. But it works great, is easy to set up and clean. The pulp was damp but not wet. We wanted to try juicing because of the health benefits and we're on a weight loss program. You would never know that it's a reconditioned machine except for the big label on the box. It looks brand new. I would not have paid the sugg. retail of $249 because the containers as well as the top are all plastic, but for $30 you can't beat it.

" "WOW" Got Juice?"
Ok, I'm impressed. This is nothing short of being a commercial juicer.

I have a smaller brand juicer. And I was tired of slicing everything in order for them to fit into the feed tube. No pre-slicing necessary with this machine. Yes, it will consume a very large whole apple. And the extraction time is about 2 seconds. The two speed motor feature is wonderful.

The machine is very quiet. No vibration, it stays put. And most of all, quick n' easy clean up.

As I stated. This really is a commercial quality machine. With that being said. Keep in mind, this appliance does require a bit more counter space, then most units. However, if your looking for a fantastic juicer. I highly recommend this unit.

"READ THIS REVIEW IT IS 100% ACCURATE", OK, simply put... The juicer is awesome.

It is large, but fits under your kitchen cabinets or where you want to put it. The unti is not loud at all, so I do not understand other folks complaining it is too loud. If you kids are scared, have them go read a book or watch TV in another room while you use the juicer. It quieter than a blender or vaccum so that should help you rate how loud it is.

I did two tests, one with veg's and one with fruits. This juicer just fly's through whatever you put in it, hard of soft items in just 1-2 seconds, WOW. I am super impressed!

1st test... I stuck in 1/4 beet with greens, a tomatoe, 2 stalks celery, 1 bunch of spinach and a carrot. It took more time to put it in than it took to process.

2nd test... I put in 1/4 papaya peeled (big one), 1 mango pitted and peeled, 1 cup grapes, 4 small cored apples, 1 orange. Again it juiced all this stuff in like 3 seconds.

For fun... I put 1/4 papaya and a banana in to see how it worked with fruit that wasn't too juicy and it worked but some of it was too thick to ginto the juice side and ended up in the pulp area. So you need to mix the soft and hard stuff together as well as mix bananas with juicier stuff to get a better dilution i guess of the fruit.

Use a kitchen dish bristle brush to clean the shredder filter, it took me total if 2-3 minutes to clean it under the faucet. Really easy that way!

The juice container just sits under the juice drain it does not attach, which is kind of a drag, but it works.

Well worth the money and even at the full price it is a great deal.

I paid $30, free shipping and $9.95 for 2 years extended warranty.

Perfecto! Thanks Amazon!

"Refurbished No Good, too large.", Purchased from amazon.com. This was a refurbished one so we took our chances. Used it once and then returned as it was pretty bad at juicing. The pulp had lot more juice content and the juice had some pulp in it. In addition this juicer takes a lot of counter space. If you are short on space avoid this one.

"Great Product", Very good product.pulp on one side and juice on other side
can't go wrong with this product.
great for health concious
Only pure fruit or vegetble juice that can hold you until lunch or dinner

"Juicing the Day Away", I bought this refurbished product after checking what was available and reading some reviews. It is my first juicer. It was definitely refurbished, and arrived plainly marked with fingerprints on the stainless steel.
I am fairly happy with it, and use it everyday. Clean up is not so bad, but you must do it right away--and a vegetable sprayer attachment at your sink is indispensable.
I am not sure that it is as efficient at extracting all the juice as it could be.
The pulp catcher, the large black plastic section attached to the side of the juicer, has a short prong sticking out from its back, which enters a hole in the side of the juicer and pushes a button, taking the "safety" off, and allowing you to turn on the juicer. If the pulp catcher is not seated properly, the juicer won't turn on. I worry that this short plastic tooth will break, and I'll have to figure some way of disabling the safety. It is an odd weak point in such an otherwise solid appliance.
I think this juicer has been worth the discount price I paid, but am glad I didn't pay full price, or encounter any problems with the refurbishment.

"Great starter juicer ", Does excellent for the price but like other reviews it is way too loud if you live in an apartment.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"POWERFUL JUICER, BUT VERY BIGGG AND NOISY", I got this juicer a few weeks ago in perfect condition, but was suprised about the size eventhough I had read reviews it was big. It takes up a lot of space probably as much as a cake mixer. It also makes a lot of noise and leaves about the same amount of pulp as any other cheap juicer.

"Great buy, no regrets", This is my second juicer been using it for three months and its a great buy. I have a small kitchen in a one bedroom and yes it does take up more counter space than the average juicer but I did not want an average juicer I wanted an above average juicer and if you do too, then this gives bang for the buck than many of those costing above $200 bucks. I agree its no noiser than a blender and its a handsome piece of machinery. No regrets. yeah I wish cleaning the basket was easier but which juicer permits this?? Go for it.

"A Steal at $49.99", I hate to sound like all the other reviews, but beware of the size of this juicer. That said, this unit is a steal for $49.99 (Friday Sale). If I paid the $200 that this unit goes for new (not refurbished) I don't think I'd be nearly as happy.

Although this unit takes up a lot of counter space, it's size means it's good for power and ability to make lots of juice quickly. The Waring is well designed and has a chute large enough for most needs. Unlike another review here, I have had no issues taking the unit apart or putting it back together.

Overall I'd highly recommend this Waring if you don't mind it taking up a lot of counter space. And although it is a bit noisy, it's no worse than running a blender.

One caveat for those of you making carrot juice, if you juice the carrots on the high setting, the juice comes out all frothy and gritty. If you use the low setting with carrots you'll be just fine.

"Great Juicer", This thing is great I use it all the time and it was a great bargain.

"Good Juice, Large Juicer, Noisy", This is the first juicer I have owned. I have used juicers at my friend's homes so I had an idea of what I was looking for when I purchased this.

First off since this was refurbished I was nervous especially after reading reviews of other brands of refurbished juicers. I fully inspected the juicer besides a few blemishes internally the juicer looks new. the box does say refurbished in big letters just to be aware if you are giving this as a gift.

The juicer is large. Larger then any other appliance I have on my countertop. Luckily Ihave alot of counterspace in my kitchen. I wanted to be able to leave the juicer out because if it is tucked away in the pantry I am less likely to use it daily. The juicer looks great with my other stainless small and large appliances so though it is large taking up about twice the counterspace as a kitchenaid mixer it looks fine sitting out.

One of the reasons I got this is I just like my kids am not a big veggie eater besides the regular corns peas and potatos. I thought I could sneak more vegies into my kids diet and mine. There are some rules according to the manufacter unlkike the desciption about what and how to juice. You do have to peel citrus fruits, and certain fruits like large apples have to be cut up. The speed you juice on depends on how hard/soft the fruit/veggie is. High speed for apples, pears ,carrots etc and low speed for citrus, spinach etc.

I started by juicing a one large apple, one pear and one carrot. I got about 12 oz of juice from this combo which I was pleased with. It was very sweet so I could have hidden more veggies but I was happy to see me daughter drink the carrot without complaint. I have found if you are trying to add vegies without the veggie taste as long as you have an apple or pear base it should be sweet enough to take away any of the bitter veggie taste.

I have found a few cons. The unit is a little hard to snap back togther after cleaning, with the hardest part to reassemble being the pulp catcher. if the container that catches the pulp is not snapped on tight then teh juicer will not turn on. The unit is easy to clean except for the filter. I have not found any easy way to clean the filter yet.

The juicer is noisy. This is the biggest con for me. Ihave an autistic child and I have bought more expensive dishwasher, vacuums and washing machine because the noise bothers my child. This juicer is the loudest appliance I own. If I have all the ingredients ready to go juicing takes less then a minute . I try and juice right after my child goes to school.

Overall I am happy with the purchase considering the price and quality. I would purchase again at the price I paid. Just wish the unit were a little smaller, less noisy and had an easier filter to clean.
