After he faced his fears and used it he is happy. Don't be fooled by how cute this thing is-it is powerful as it is pink and NEVER burns the bagels! Easy for my three chidren to use - numbered settings dials help. People always comment on it when they come in my kitchen-some like it -some not so much -but why be boreing! The controls are simple to use and the toaster is really easy to clean, a quick wipe with a dish cloth and it has stayed shiny and new, I tap it on the counter a few times and then pull out the crumb trays and have never had any problem! The slots are wide enough that bagels easily fit and everything toasts evenly! Everything about this toaster is perfect!
