"Best machine with simple storage" This makes real Belgian waffles. The flipside is a great feature. We really like the way you can lock it into the upright position for storage. "Great waffle maker!" Product arrived in great shape. It is built very well and is sturdy for the price. It makes great waffles; crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The waffles are nice and thick, almost like eating a cake. Clean up is a breeze. I would purchase again. "excellent waffle maker" We have enjoyed the belgian waffles popular at hotel breakfasts so much that I wanted a maker for home. I had reservations because of the size and mess of the hotel variety. This product is so compact. It fold up and goes away into a cabinet very easily and is not messy. And best of all my family likes these waffles even better than the hotel variety. "Good Waffle Maker" Heats up quickly, non-stick surface is actually non-stick, doesn't quite cook evenly, but pretty close. "I'M MAKE'N WAFFLES! (and i'm no donkey)" Inspired by a recent stay at a hotel that provided a continental breaksfast w/Ready-Made Batter and a Waffle Maker, I decided to see what was available online. Reasonable Price and High Customer Review are the criteria I use when making any purchase. I was close to ordering a Waffle Maker that was priced approx. twice the price of this one and decided to go with the less expensive option (under $40) due to the great reviews so many people gave it. I ordered it with (3) cans of the Waffle Mix that came up by default. Here are my findings... 1. When you set the timer for 3 mins & 30 seconds, even after a 3rd waffle-in-a-row was made, they were all golden brown and perfect! 2. The Timer does not beep when you need to flip it over half-way throught the baking process. With the Presto Waffle Maker, you set the timer for the entire cooking duration and flip the Maker immediately after pouring in the batter. When the timer beeps, Eat! 3. I oiled the grids once prior to using and should not have to oil again. Cleaning was simple after the Maker cooled down after use. 4. I wish the timer used direct electricity as opposed to batteries. It's not a big deal, just disconnected from the overall coolness of the unit. 5. I don't think the timer turns off, but is an lcd screen so uses very little battery. 6. My children and I all ate (1) waffle each, two of us used syrup and one used butter only and ate nothing again until dinner time! We love the taste and will likely make waffles a Saturday or Sunday ritual. 7. The Mix I purchased requires (1) Egg per waffle. 8. It's compact and simple to store in a cabinet and if you want to show off, leave it on the counter. 9. I highly recommend the Presto Flipside Waffle Maker, but I must qualify and let you know, I bought it 2 weeks ago. (Aug 2008). MikeV - Waffle Guy

What our customer's say! "Great Waffle Maker!", I was hesitant about this purchase because I thought the waffle maker would be complicated and too difficult for my kids to use. However, we have had a lot of fun with it. It's easy to use and makes wonderful thick Belgian waffles. My 13-year-old daughter now takes it out of the cabinet to use when her friends are over. "Does the job", I wanted to get a waffle maker that would basically give me the same quality waffles as those I had at a really nice hotel. I am glad I didn't buy one of those expensive brands. This is perfect. It makes the waffles fluffy and nice. The one problem I have is with the timer....(even though I read about this in other reviews) the door to the battery compartment is very flimsy. I also have to agree that this function should have been incorporated into the electrical system instead of being separate. Overall, a nice product despite this and I am enjoying my waffles! "Makes hearty waffels", I like the end product this waffle maker makes. However, I do not agree with the timings given in its manual . If you follow the timings you will end up with burnt waffles more often than not. So make sure you grease the pan well and make Tasty waffles. One thing I like a lot about this waffle maker is, it does not over spill at all. I have used other waffle makers that say they do not over spill but do . This one is good. "Presto 03510 flipside", I wanted to wait a while to really test this thing out. Been making waffles for months now, with excellent results. I was worried when it had no temp adjust, but this actually simplified the process. I make my waffle batter a little thicker than most folks, and fold in the egg whites, so I can make big waffles with no runny mess. They cook perfectly in exactly two minutes. So the timer needs a battery, big fricken' deal. So does my alarm clock, and, like it, I probably won't have to replace the battery that came with it for several years. I also like the fact that the iron stores upright, since I have limited space. This little fella would still be a good deal if it cost twice as much like the Waring Pro and others. I now make waffles at least once a week, if not more. Highly recommended!!! "Works Great,just like it's supposed too,tastes like I'm on vaction at the Comfort Inn,lacking in some areas", It's a good product and overall it's pretty well made.Surprisingly it makes waffles just like the big boys,probably because of its "Flipping" feature which gets it evenly done.Theres only one complaint and it could just be an anomaly with my unit,but everytime I cook a waffle the timer fogs up internally,luckily I can still see the timer and theres enough residual heat to drive out any excess moisture when I'm done using it.This,in my opinion is a little over priced.But if you want waffles that taste like there from a professional waffle maker,this is a very good choice,mostly because you can "flip" your waffle.Waffle advice 101...add a little oil to the mix,alot of people don't know that. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Okay - Works okay but very plastic and cheaply made!", The iron worked pretty good. I hated that the timer was not connected into the unit and ran separately on batteries. Having to pull the battery out everytime I had to put it away was a pain and just a bad design. You really have to play with the waffles to get an evenly baked one because if you go by the book you will have really dark waffles. Tends to run on the hotter side. I am currently in the market for a new iron and would not purchase this one again because of the cheap plastic handles. My son accidentally dropped this product and it broke into a million pieces leaving shards of plastic all over the kitchen. Like they say - things just aren't made like they used to be!! "makes the cook happy", We had a Belgian waffle make from JCPenney that made great waffles, but the handle fell off the third time we used it. The Cook repaired it frequently and finally it couldn't be fixed again. After much research we felt this one was the best as it didn't truly have a handle-so far so good. And the waffles are just great. The Cook's wife. "Great Item", This is a great item. Easy to clean, store and makes a fabulous waffle. Can't beat the price either. "Presto 03510 FlipSide Waffle Maker ", Excellent product - easy to use; easy to clean; easy to store. Best price on the market. You can't go wrong. Makes fantastic waffles (I use a yeast recipe that rises over night in the fridge) "Bad,Bad Belgium", Worked fine for three and a half months, then "Presto" it started overcooking waffles. LOL. Tried reducing cooking time and it still overcooked the waffle. Very,very disappointed. I'm sending it to Presto for repair. I should have bought a better waffler. |
