"Easy Open/Close Airtight Storage "
These containers solve the problem of having an air-tight container that is both easy to open and close. For those who suffer from arthritis or other disability that limits the strength in their hands, these containers are both easy to open and close air-tight. They also appear to be sturdy enough to hold contents that are heavy without the sides bulging out. Another great product that was evidently well thought-out before placing on the market. Only downside is the cost, but maybe that will drop and they become more popular.

I bought the Oxo containers to replace my Tupperware canisters. They are by far my favorite. They are easy to open, have a good seal and easy to close.

I bought two of the 4-quart size for my flour and sugar and then 2 of the 2.25 quart size for my brown sugar and powedered sugar. They are awesome!! So easy to use!! I washed them up first and they took a while to completely dry out after washing, but all worth it.

I am amazed at how easy it is to open and close them and still get a super tight seal!! No fighting to get the lid one!!

I love these containers, in all sizes. The 5.5 qt size in my house is holding chocolate chips, as I buy 10 lb bags at a time.

The other sizes in my house hold whole bean coffee, instant yeast, vital wheat gluten, brown sugar, dry milk, cinnamon chips, flour, etc. (Yes, I have a LOT of these containers!) I'm very pleased with them, much more secure storage than using ziploc bags, and they are very air-tight! When that lid button is pushed down, the lid can't be pried off by the strongest person.

We discovered mice in our house, not in the kitchen though, but I didn't want to give them any reason to move into the kitchen! Not to mention the threat of other food-loving pests. These containers keep them out.

Another thing to add, these are nice for people with arthritis. Some food storage containers have very secure lids, but those lids are hard to pry off, and you *have* to pry them off to open the container. My mother-in-law has painful rheumatoid arthritis, so this is something I try to remain aware of. With the OXO POP containers, it's very secure storage, but the lid is easy to open and close... no prying is needed.
