"EXCELLENT VACUM"
WORKS REALLY WELL DEEP CLEANING ONLY DRAWBACK HAS HIGH MAINTANCE OTHER THEN THAT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE ROOMBA

"More than another gadget."
I have a love/hate relationship with technology. An Amazon promotion made me curious and I read other reviews. I have to vacuum regularly because someone convinced me I needed to save a cat from the local animal rescue gas chamber. I was amazed at the efficiency of my iRobot. I love this technology and my cat hates it.

"Best Ever"
I am going to make this short but sweet. This is by far the best vacuum i have ever owned. It is picking up dirt, where i never new dirt existed. This little robot digs deep down into the carpet, where no other vacuum ever did. I can honestly say, I don't know where all the dirt is coming from. Go buy this now. You wont regret it

"seriously not worth the hype"
honestly, it does not replace the regular vacuum cleaner at all. From floor to area rug, it leaves the dog hair it picked up caked on the edge of the rug. Takes forever for it to return to it's charging base. Forget about it if the base is not within 3 feet. I guess if we just had hard wood floors and a perfectly sectioned off area, then I guess this roomba is worth it. It advertises that it doesnt get tangled on to cords. But what it does do is run over them and get trapped.
Would I recommend this product if you have an english bulldog and sheds. NO.

"Best purchase ever!!!"
When this product came out years ago i thought to myself, you would have to be pretty lazy to buy one of them. My mom purchased one about one month before i did and i was amazed at how well it performs. You can actually get more done by having one!! While it is doing it's thing you can be doing something else and it does such a fantastic job!! Would highly recommend to anyone.

What our customer's say!

"So helpful thing", Well, I was skeptical about iRobot. Now I am convinced. It really does its job. The benefits are you can do cleanings more often when you are not at home.
Pros are too obvious.
Cons:
- cleaning the filter and box is pretty dirty(dusty) job;
- hair makes that cleaning worse as a lot of that stuff sticks on bearings;

"Makes my life Soooo much eaiser!!!", I bought the Roomba about 6 months ago not expecting it to be much better than the old 400 series but was impressed.

The new model roomba does a much better job at not banging into objects hard like the older 400's. It is a soft touch in comparison.
I also like the fact that it is much quieter than 400's. You can use it and still watch TV but yes you do still know its running about.
I did notice that it will last much longer than rated. Mine runs for about 3 hrs without a charge. Please note: I do not use the virtual walls. The run time is a bit shorter when using with the walls. I am using it to clean my 2700 sq foot house and does a very good job. I use Robby my Roomba about 2-3 times a week.

Now for the bad. I have a dog that comes indoors at times. The Roomba must be cleaned after every use since the rollers and front caster wheel gets clogged up if not done after every use. I don't mind since it is cleaning a 2700 sq foot house for me. Big time saver.
The side spinning brush looses its little arms for no apparant reason. I have contacted Irobot and they have redesigned it to help prevent this. My 9 month old baby found one and put it in her mouth, fortunantly I removed it from her before she choked on it. Make sure yours has the yellow arms on the side brush. The red colored ones are prone to break off.

My conclusion is no its not perfect but for the amount of time it frees up for me is soooo worth it. I am a stay at home dad with three young children. I also do all the cooking, cleaning, and house work so just to get 1 hr or so of down time is priceless. Moms out there know what I mean.

"Better than expected, but consider the 560", We recently received this as a wedding shower gift and have really enjoyed it.

Vacuum Performance - It seems to vacuum really well. We recently had carpet installed in part of the house, and this did a great job of getting all of the loose fibers out of the carpet. Also, I accidentally left a screw on the floor and this had no problem picking it up. The only con - which I knew going in - is that I do not believe it is hypoalergenic like some upright vacuums.

Maintenance - The unit is really easy to clean, and the bin is a cinch to empty.

Coverage - Ultimately, I think most people are sceptical that it will cover an entire room, but it really does. You can tell by the vacuum lines. Not only does it cover what you would usually vacuum but it gets under dressers, beds, etc. better than I would with an upright. The only Con is that it takes longer than a person would. A room I could vacuum in 5 minutes takes the Roomba 30. This isn't a problem for me because I start it up on my way out in the morning and come home to a clean house.

Support - I have not had any problems with the roomba yet, but most of the parts are easy to change (I mean really easy) and parts seem easy to get on Amazon or the iRobot website, so I don't anticipate having problems getting parts when needed. I really view this as a big plus because with a traditional vacuum when something breaks you have to get a new unit or take it to a costly repair shop.

Multi-room coverage - I had hoped I could leave in the morning and have the roomba vacuum the entire upstairs of my townhouse. This is not the case with this model. Unfortunately, the 530 does not distinguish between rooms so it cannot efficiently vacuum multiple rooms at once. If you get the 560 or any other model higher than the 530, they come with "lighthouses". These "lighthouses" tell the roomba where rooms are so that it doesn't leave a room until it's finished, then it goes to the next one, etc. This is a great feature (for me anyway) and I really wish I had received the 560, but I'm making do by just starting the roomba in a different room in the morning.

"My New Best Friend", This product deliver's everything it says it does. It picks up everything and is so easy to empty the dirt.

"Love it, with one exception...", which is why I rated it 4 stars versus 5. I have been very pleased with the performance of the Roomba vacuuming robot. It has as much suction as my Oreck, as hard as that might be to believe. The only real complaint I have is that the brushes have to be cleaned frequently. I know the reason that is true in my house is that I have two cats; they were the main reason I wanted something like the Roomba to help keep the floors clean in between housecleanings. How I have dealt with this issue is buying a a brush set (a two set of each brush). I change out the brushes and the Roomba keeps going, and I can clean the brushes at leisure. I would definitely recommend it. I am considering buying one for my parents for Christmas this year.

"nice product, no service", It's a great product (when it works). Mine broke just around the 14th month. I tried to fix it and I was willing to spend money to do it because I liked it so much, but I gave it up after long hours meddling with their customer service. Actually I ended up wasting 3 days trying to get their phone number from their web site. Please anyone try to find their service number from their homepage (if they see this they might just fix their web site). (I needed to search their site, because I misplaced all the documentation that came with the Roomba)

I gave it 2 stars, because the product is nice, but as other customers have said, forget about fixing it once it breaks.

p.s. The problem mine had: It wouldn't recharge no matter what I do with it. I tried all the possible angles to stick the Roomba to its base. I let it dock automatically. I cleaned the touching metal surfaces on the Roomba and also the base. I bought a new battery. I replaced the brushes and filters. I shook it, rattled it, and tapped it thousands of times. I even begged on my knees.

"Rosie Roomba", I named my Roomba Rosie after the Jetson's maid and I just love her. My floors have never been so clean. I have three dogs that are always tracking in leaves and grass and things. I could never keep up with the vacuuming. Now, I turn her loose ever other night and while I sleep she vacuums my living room, kitchen, hall and front bedroom. I set her loose on the rest of the house during the evenings while I'm watching TV. After I learned what needed to be picked up, she does a beautiful job. Thinner cords like telephone and speaker wire need to either be attached to the baseboards or picked up or Rosie does get tangled up. When her brushes needs to be cleaned, she verbally tells you. Best purchase I've made in a very long time. Thanks iRobot!!

"It does what it says it will do", It does well at keeping the house neat and the animal hair picked up between formal cleanings. It has the advantage of being able to get under furniture that the big vacuum will not fit under.

My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to make a better system to hold the dirt and make it easier to clean.

"It is great!", It is great to trust vacuuming to this little guy and keep doing something else. I was surprised at how much this little guy picks up - it really works well. However, the reservoir for the dust is not that big, so I prefer to clean it after each room. I consider our little roomba to be a great helper in between deep vaccuming sessions with our Dyson. Roomba does a great job of picking up dirt and dust, but Dyson is the best (especially when you have shedding pets!). Overall, I like it a lot and I don't have to carry dyson upstairs that often.
I think that if one doesn't have pets or dust allergy (to every little particle) this vacuuming robot will become his/her great friend.

"Love it!!", This is a WONDERFUL product! We have a one year old that is crawling all over the floor and this picks up all of the crumbs and things that he would normally be picking up and eating. It runs for a long time and does a good job. It is nice to be able to run it while you do something else. The hardwood floors feel less gritty after it is done cleaning. It works well on carpet, too. It fits well under my low bed and bookshelves and when I clean the filter, I see that it has picked up a LOT of dust and other things. I would strongly recommend this product. Especially if you hate vacuuming as much as I do. The only small problem that it sometimes has is that it has difficulty going from hardwood floors onto a rug on the floor. Other than that, no problems.
