Others say...
"A great product" This really is a great product. We purchased this to try and get a little exercise (while having fun) during our busy schedules. It's fun, but remember, it's like any other piece of exercise equipment--if you just let it sit there, it's not doing any good! :) Seriously though, it's a really convenient and fun way to sneak in a little exercise. I don't regret our purchase at all and I would not hesitate to recommend this item to others. "Good Suplemental Exerciser" I had preordered the Wii FIT before it came out and was so excited when it arrived and have used it weekly since. It actually is really fun. As you use Wii FIT more and more, you will also gain access to additional features. My main complaint is how it uses data on the "age determination" stage. It has rated me as 23 in one week and then 54 the next week (I'm in my 30s). Obviously, not too accurate. Still, it works out muscles that I generally don't get to in my usual daily workout. "Wii Fit is very fun" The Wii Fit is really great. I get a good workout going by doing either all of the yoga poses or all of the strength training poses after doing a hula hoop and advanced step warm up. The more you use it, the more exercises and reps you unlock. I hope they will come up with some more games for it in the future. "A LOT of fun, with a couple of areas for improvement " I LOVE my Wii Fit. I can't stand exercise - walking is boring, and I'm not willing to pay for a gym membership I know I won't use. For me, then, the Wii Fit is perfect. It's convenient and I actually enjoy it! There are some times when I think "I'll just hop on for 10 minutes, I don't feel like exercising" and before I know it I've done half an hour because I'm having too much fun to stop. I love the fact that it keeps track of all your scores. If I do badly in an exercise, I'll almost always go back and try it again to try to get a high score. I guess it's strange to be competitive against yourself, but that's what I'm doing with it! As other people have said, there are downsides to the game, too. The only one that really bothers me is the amount of clicks you have to make to complete a workout. I'd love to be able to put together various 10-minute exercise programs to get an effective workout without having to keep sorting through menus. It would be good, also, to be able to do (for example) an 'arm muscle workout' rather than having to go through the menus trying to remember which exercises are the best for certain areas. Also, if you're super-fit already this won't really make much of a difference for you. For the people like me, who don't do much exercise at all and need a kick-start to tone up and get moving, it's perfect. Can't wait till I hit my weight loss goal! "Wii Fit" You still hsve to work at it but it provides a diversion to the fact that you are exercising. Far better than watching TV on a treadmill.

Wii Fit
Why I buy this one ? - Lean to block soccer balls, swivel hips to power hoop twirls or balance to hold the perfect yoga pose. As you stand on the Wii Balance Board, included with Wii Fit, your body's overall balance is tied to the game in a way you've never experienced before - Wii Fit also uses the Wii Balance Board for daily tests. These evaluate two key measures that a household can track via progress charts - - Body Mass Index (BMI) - A weight evaluation based on a ratio of weight to height - Wii Fit Age - The Wii Fit Age is measured by factoring the user's BMI reading, testing the user's center of gravity and conducting quick balance tests - Wii Fit includes more than 40 types of training activities designed to appeal to all members of a household. Training falls into four fitness categories - It's better to buy this one too...

What our customer's say! "Not Effective Use of Exercise Time", I must say though the Wii fit is mildly entertaining, it was not what I has expected when I purchased it. I thought I would be able to have a fitness class or some training at home. What the Wii fit offers is a demonstration of very short exercises you can choose to do. There is no 'class' or even substantial segment of fitness routines anywhere on Wii fit. You must INDIVIDUALLY select to do a single yoga pose or a single set of push-ups. After each one, lasting approximately 1-2 minutes, you must choose to "retry" or "quit". When you "quit", you return to a menu to select another individual exercise. There are several things in between each and every exercise you complete providing feedback and a score. Not bad information but terrible to stop constantly and push A and wait again for another menu choice. The menu will suggest doing 2 exercises in a row, but you cannot highlight or select that as an option and have 2 in row come on screen. The graphing and progress reports are interesting and beneficial. The concept of the board being able to measure and assess balance is great. I just don't have the extra time to stop and wait between each movement. Going through the menus constantly is frustrating when I want to exercise. It takes about 55 minutes of time to accomplish 30 minutes of workout as logged by the Wii fit. "Fit @ Home", This is a great product for anyone that likes video games and can enjoy energetic full body activities. Wonderful for everyone! "Wii-Fit Supplementary Activity", I recently bought the wii-fit thinking it was going to be a hard-core workout like Tae-Bo or something, not the case. It's slow with many pauses between exercise moves. I think its great for the sedentary child or family fun, but definitly not as your sole exercise routine. My advice is buy it for fun, to get the family moving behind the tv set, don't buy it if you want to lose weight, you'll just be disappointed and don't buy it if you are used to intense workouts, you'll only be disappointed. Bottom line- wii-fit is for entertainment, fun and can really get sedentary kids moving! and apart from my stars given, my kids would give 5! "WII FIT Review", I love Wii Fit! I teach and when I used to come home, I was so tired I did not want to "work out." Now with this thing, I make the time and spend an hour and not even know it. It is fun and it does work. I have already lost some weight in just a week. I am five foot three and about 120 pounds, and I set a goal to lose 10 pounds. I am getting closer and I have never had so much fun working out (if you can call it that) in my life. There are so many choices and games too! You can pick Yoga, strengh training, balance games, or aerobic exerices. You also unlock more things as you progress. THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER! "Fun...even when you don't like exercise!", This is the best, by far, for keeping me entertained while exercising...it is fun and competitive for yourself and with others! Love the Fit Body Age and tests and privacy to keep that to yourself! ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Whoopee!", This is a fun game - you can work up a sweat if you put forth the effort. The only drawback is the repetitive nature of the "encouragement" provided by the virtual trainers. After you've been working with the game for a couple of weeks, it is frustrating to wait for them to provide comments. I only use it when I don't have time to make it to the gym; I still prefer the gym for my cardio - I like to work little more intensively than the Wii Fit can accommodate. My husband and kids like it, too. It was worth the price! "Wii Fit Early Results", I just got the Wii Fit last week; in 7 days, I have lost 6 pounds so far! The game is so motivational; my kids (10 and 17) love it, too, and have been using it daily as well, challenging themselves to beat me. So far, I have obtained results far beyond my expectations, and would highly recommend it to other middle-aged folks like myself, who want to lose weight and feel better all around! "Love this! Fun and a good workout!", This is a great way to get back into shape or just continue a good workout no matter what level of fitness you are. I can push myself if I want to or just work out at a comfortable pace. Most advertising I have seen says it comes with 3 pairs of socks, but it really only comes with 1 pair. Everything else included is there. Nice to have something that really works and I can put in the corner when not in use. Highly recommended! "Try Blockbuster to find it", I took others advice and found it at Blockbuster video on my second phone call. Had it 15 min later. I looked everywhere else! I am glad I lost my 110.00 bid on ebay for it. "Great, but could be a whole lot better with a few tweaks", Don't get me wrong. The Wii Fit is great. I've been using it for two months and still like doing it. It's much better than a workout video for two reasons. First, rather than always repeating the same sequence, you pick what you want. Need to work on a certain area? Fine! Do the appropriate exercises more often. Second, it provides feedback. This is the key to the Wii Fit board. While the feedback is not always perfect and is not the same as having a personal trainer, it's a long shot better than just mimicking what you see on the tube and having no real idea if you've got it right. By giving you something to "shoot for", the scoring system also adds to motivation. Now for the gripes. 1) There REALLY ought to be a "no chat" mode. While some of the pointers may be helpful at first, they get old fast. After 60 sessions, I had pretty much memorized them all. At present, there's the "demo" mode and the normal exercise mode. The next update needs a third "hold the chatter" mode. 2) There REALLY ought to be a way to string a series of exercises together into a workout without having to spend to much time navigating through menus. Every exercise needs requires a "pick this one" click, followed by a "start" click, followed by a "OK, give me my score" click, followed by a "show me my total time" click, followed by a "quit or do over" click. Several also require extra clicks to assure the system that you won't fall over and break your leg. The result is a click-to-exercise ratio that is out of control and ruins the flow of the workout. It would be wonderful it there was a way to queue up 5 or 10 exercises to do in a row with at most one click in between. 3) In the "balance games," there REALLY ought to be an easier way for two (or more) players to alternate. If you want to play with others, you essentially have to back all the way out of a multi-layer menu between every player change. Since downhill skiing, for example, takes one minute to complete, the end result is a "play-to-click" ratio of about 1 to 4: one minutes of play followed by four minutes of navigating menus in order to the next player to have their turn. It would be wonderful if players could somehow "register" that the following 2 or 3 or 4 players will be alternating in the balance games and then have them play one after the other without all that clicking to navigate through the menus. ![]() |
