"Works Well", Certainly takes the place of a food processor I was eying but had no counter space for. I rarely use one anyway. But this is my first mandoline and I like it! I was making salad for a party and this fit the bill Cukes, carrots, radishes, done in a flash! I am going to make potato au gratin a big dish for the next party. And yeah this will be a joy to use. Watch your fingers! Use the guard. Also You tube features this item to demonstrate how to use a mandoline very informative for a novice like myself. I have hand washed and can't speak on how it will fare in the dishwasher.

"A great, easy to use kitchen accessory", I purchased this after reviewing several Mandolines. I wanted an inexpensive one to start out with to make sure it would get enough use in the kitchen. Now that I've had a chance to use it I don't feel the need to spend more, because this one works so well. It comes with 5 different inserts for julienne and slicing. My favorite is definitely the slicing blades for onions..no more crying. I've also taken a liking to the julienne for cole slaw and for zucchini when making bread. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was I really wish there was a 6th insert for a thicker slice. I would recommend this to anyone that's been wanting a Mandoline.

"best for the price", I've tried one expensive mandoline and it was heavy and didn't slice tomatoes or anything soft. I also have a cheaper plastic which was a waste of money. When I ordered the MIU v-mandoline I had high expections and it proved me right. This mandoline, especially with the v-slice is great. It cut everything I put to it. For 29.95, it out performs my 115.00 stainless steel mandoline by 4-1. I should have bought one for my daughters family at same time.

"good value", I decided to take my chances with this slicer and am glad I did. It's everything I need, and it comes at a very reasonable price. The parts are well stored in a caddy and insert and remover very easily. The holder works well and the blade is sharp. I'm glad I bought it.

"Works great for the price", Positive:
Easy to clean.
5 blades are included. 3 even blades for different thickness and 2 julienne blades for a tiny carrot cut or a larger fry cut. Each blade works well at cutting strips. I like the standup design.

Negative:
In actuality there is nothing that stops the food from coming out perfectly. And for the $, this is a 5 star item. But I have noticed that the design of a V-blade causes food to catch at the bottom of the V where the 2 blades meet. No big deal but it does make getting the perfect even thickness a little harder. Also this is a plastic model and will eventually wear out. The blades take a little strength to get out but not much. I am afriad after a while I am going to break it trying to get the blades out.

I wish there was a cover that went over this for safety during storage.

"Just What I Was Looking For", I was in the market for a mandoline slicer that wasn't too expensive, but was still well built and functional. The MIU Mandoline V-Slicer turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. I didn't need an expensive slicer since I only use it once or twice a week, but when I need it, it's there. I also love the fact that it's top-shelf dishwasher safe. What could be easier?

"Another great item from MIU...", This is my third V slicer, and my favorite to date... I love that it has the stand as well as the notches for bowl use, the third slicer blade, and it's RED...

It has a very hefty feel to it, and the blades really lock in place... My other two seem pretty flimsy in comparison.

I was able to get this in the Friday Sale for $19.99 with five MIU flexible cutting mats thrown in as a bonus, and FREE SHIPPING, I felt like a thief... In this case I don't mind that feeling!
