"Discolored Immediately"
I spent a lot of time researching which cookware to buy and reading the reviews. These were on sale when I bought them, I think I paid $80. They look really nice, at first, but after using each piece only one time, and being very careful not to turn the heat up too high or leave anything sitting on the burner, they are discolored. For example, the pans are already getting black on the side, I guess from burned grease. I've scrubbed and scrubbed, but the blackness won't go away. The dishes don't feel dirty, but they sure don't look nice. But a crazy thing, they also do clean easily, on the inside bottom. It's the sides of the pans that are getting black and gross looking, but the bottoms of the pans, when cooking food does burn on sometimes, but the bottoms scrub off pretty easily. So, it's weird.
I wouldn't buy these again. It's not a huge problem they look blackened now, because they just stay hidden in the cabinet, but I just don't understand why they got ruined so quickly. I do like the weight of them, and they cook food. It's better cookware than I bought a few years ago from Big Lots. I just wish they had stayed new looking longer. Oh, and the lids do fog up, even if you leave a crack for ventilation, as others have said.
Maybe next time I'll go with anodized aluminum, even though they have to be handwashed.

"great value"
This is a great value plus we received free shipping! The stay cool handles are a real help in a busy kitchen and the glass lids help you see what's going on in there! I'm still using a Farberware fry pan I received for my wedding shower 40 years ago so I have no qualms about the life span if this set.

"Great set of stainless cookware!"
I was not sure what to expect when this set arrived, but I had done a lot of research on stainless cookware sets, and this was was the best reviewed set in its price range. For health reasons, I want to now avoid cooking in non-stick whenever possible. The pots are not super heavy, but heavy enough to last a while. I needed some smaller size pots for every day and the 1, 1.5 and 2 oz. are perfect! I was even able to figure out how to cook eggs in the stainless steel pans (adding a little more oil and turning the heat down). The best part is that we don't have to baby these pieces. They are dishwasher safe! The glass covers are great for keeping an eye on the food. Overall, a fantastic buy for $80.

"Good quality, but small"
The quality of these pots is definitively good, but the problem is that there is only one decent sized pot and one decent sized skillet, all the other ones are really small. Good set if you are a single, not recommended for a family.

"awesome"
so far so good. No complaints here. I was getting tired of the non stick finshes coming off so I decided to try stainless steal. Have been loving it all.

What our customer's say!

"Absolutely fantastic", I did not expect to be getting a nice set of pans when I ordered these since I ordered them as something to use at our new house we were remodeling rather than drag over my calphalon.

Boy was I surprised! They're a really good weight, well constructed, cook well, and are nice to look at too. I am so pleased with these, I totally recommend them. I got rid of my heavy calphalon because to me, these are better. Way easier to manage than those super heavy pans. The only thing is there is no vent hole in the lids so you can't cover boiling things completely or you'll get boil over.

I hate non-stick so I was very happy to have a stainless steel set without it.

Also, a magnet barely holds to these pans which means a higher quality stainless...it's 18/10.

I don't have any issues with discolouration like some people have said but I always handwash pots and pans and I clean them right away so no oil, grease or food gets stuck on. If you use gas stove, cook with it the way you're supposed to (flame doesn't go over the sides of the pan) and they won't blacken.

Get these! One of the best buys I've made.

"Exploding Lid", I just wanted to warn everyone that has these to be careful with them please. I was heating up some tomato sauce tonight in the 1 qt. saucepan with a lid on so that it didn't splash. I'd heated it and it was sitting on "warm" for about 5 minutes when all of a sudden the lid exploded. There was a large hole in the center and glass was everywhere. I have the stainless steel pans with glass lids. I'd never had a problem with glass lids before, and I'd been using these ones for a few weeks. I'll be contacting Farberware tomorrow to see if this is a common problem or if they have anything to say. Luckily there were no injuries, but it could have been bad and I wouldn't want it to happen to anyone else.

"Quality and Value for Your Dollar", I chose Farberware when I moved into my first apartment over 35 years ago. It is still my favorite cookware. Even when I buy a new set, the old ones are still so good, I don't discard them, I give them away. These pots and pans are well constructed with stay-cool handles, cook evenly, clean easily and look good on the stovetop or counter - at a more than reasonable cost. I prefer the metal lids to glass (breakage) but whatever your choice, you cannot go wrong with Farberware. There may indeed be better cookware out there, but I haven't had reason to wonder or wander.

"Discoloration after the second use!", I have the stainless steel version with the glass lids. After the second washing in the diswasher the insides of these pans bacame discolored with strange blue spots and very very white smaller spots. I was shocked because I have owned several types of stainless steel pans and have never seen this kind of discoloration before. I would steer clear of these and get something else. I regret this purchase. Wolfgang Puck is a MUCH better choice.

"I kinda miss my non stick pans", I noticed that many of the reviews are associated with the non-stick version of this cook-set.

My review is based off of the cookware set that is plainly STAINLESS-STEEL.
The material is fantastic. It feels heavy and durable in my hands and the grippy rubber handles are a great touch. Makes you feel great if you're just learning how to cook.

One thing I do recommend is buying a separate non-stick for things like eggs or pancakes. I "Pam"med the heck out the frying pan and eggs would still stick. Terrible.

The pans get super-hot, super-fast. You definitely have to find a happy medium with the food and your pans because it will cause discoloration or burn spots

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Review", I like my new cookwear purchase so far. We previously had some Tefal (spelling?) non stick pans. The non stick coating was flaking off on a lot of the pans, so we decided to switch to stainless steel.

I will admit it takes a bit of time to get used to cooking with these, I had issues for the first few uses with my food sticking to the bottom and sides as I cooked things too fast. After I got past the learning curve though (and learned to turn the gas down), I love them. I use a non fat cooking spray most of the time to help as well.

The glass lids DO fog up most of the time, I wish there was a way to allow them to breath so the condensation didn't build up. Regardless it is still better than a lid that is not see through.

I would definetely reccomend these pans to a friend.

"Farberware Millenium Review", I got this for the wife and she absolutely loves it.She likes it because the food doesn't stick and the handles are nice. They don't get hot while you are using them and they are very comfortable to handle. This was a very good buy as far as I am concerned. The glass lids are also a big plus while you are cooking.Thank you for the GREAT cookware.

"I love this product!!", I was looking for a new set of pots and pans. This is such a good product for the price. They cook evenly and are great, you don't need the heat very high at all. Cleans with an ease.

"Faberware is awesome", This is worth the price and the wait. These are awesome quality and I've never been so pleased with a product.

"Great Product", I really researched stainless steel cookware before deciding to buy. This set of Farberware is up there with the highest quality and is such a bargain!!! They are easy to cook in once you get the hang of cooking with a lower heat setting. Also, they are so easy to clean and are so beautiful. I love them!!!
