"cuisinart programmable coffee maker dtc-975n" i love the coffeemaker. the carafe is VERY good. it keeps coffee warm for unbelievably long time(i tried as far as 8 hours later) and the programmable schedule is a nice bonus. of course you will need to follow the recommendations that some gave, like rinsing the carafe with hot water before brewing to be effective. i'm still waiting for the rebate, don't know if i'll receive it. only 2 cons, for which reason i am not giving 5 stars: -after making the signal that it finished brewing, coffee still dips for 2,3 minutes. although coffee won't spill if you take the carafe while brewing, after it makes the signal it will spill. -no adjustable strength of the coffee: it might be too much to ask for, but hey for 100 bucks, why not? otherwise a very pretty coffee maker, recommend it to anyone. "Cuisinart DTC 975n 12 cup tremal coffeemaker " This has been a very good investment for our home. It was the absolute only 12 cup caraft style coffee maker I could find at the time. The ease of operation is wonderful. I would not be without it. "We just bought our second one" We have had this coffee pot for at least two years, and it has made the best cup of homemade Joe yet. The thermal carafe keeps coffee hot, fresh, and just the way you brewed it. It's a can't miss. "Great Coffee for the Office" We recently picked this item up based on it meeting our essential needs and receiving good reviews on Amazon. The two major complaints mentioned in other reviews are caused by the filter not being set properly and the lid not being screwed on properly. These are really manual problems and we have had a variety of people making coffee in our break room without suffering either of these problems. The only problem we have run into is that we need to remember to empty the pot at the end of each day. Turns out, the coffee is still hot the next morning. Sure the coffee is still good, but most of us can't get our head around drinking yesterday's coffee. "I recieved a different coffemaker" While I ordered the stainless steel coffemaker, I recieved another model with a glass carafe and returned it. I eventaully purchased the coffemaker I wanted locally.

What our customer's say! "A total waste of $$", The writing on the program panel literally wiped off the first time it was cleaned. Took an hour to make 6 cups of coffee, by the time it was finished, 2 cups of water had evaporated off. Only used 6 months-a total piece of junk. Extremely disappointed with this product, but not the first time. Another Cuisinart coffee pot had a glass thermo liner that exploded in my face-luckily, not in my eyes. Twice but not again-no more Cuisinart products. For what I paid, total junk. "Best coffee maker ever!", Love this coffee pot! It makes delicious coffee, is easy to clean, and the coffee truly stays hot for many, many hours (without continuing to "cook it" on a hot burner). As for those reviewers that experienced leaking, I have noticed that you really do have to make sure the carafe is correctly set under the drip mechanism, otherwise it will leak. But if you just take two seconds to look and make sure it's lined up right, there is no problem at all. This pot has been so great, my Mom fell in love with it and I splurged and got her one of her own for Mother's Day! "Best Coffe Maker I've Owned", The Cuisinart 12 cup Thermal coffee maker was a great buy on Amazon! I couldn't get a better price at any local store. Not only was the price excellent, but this coffee maker is so easy to use and if I pre-heat the carafe by rinsing it out with hot water just before I start the brew, it keeps my coffe hot until I get home in the evening- and no scorched coffee taste! It brews quickly, beeps when it is finished and keeps my coffee hot. I love it! And with the Cuisinart quality behind it, I expect to enjoy great coffee for a long time! This is the best coffee maker I've owned- it even surpasses my old favorite Bunn! "coffe maker", Unit makes great coffee and the carafe keeps it fresh and not bitter. I finish the pot when I come home from work. "Best home coffee maker", Best home coffee maker I've had yet. Keeps coffee hot 4 hours or more,but pot not hot to the touch on the outside. Plus once it's made the carafe is sitting on a cool surface right where it's made. It came shortly after I ordered it and in perfect condition. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "It's great. Period.", Yes, compared to other coffee makers I've had, it takes a few more minutes to get used to. You need to make sure that the carafe lid is on securely and that the basket door is closed. After doing those things ONCE, I go the hang of it. It then pumps out great coffee, stays as hot if not hotter than other carafes I've had, and does everything it promises to do. My only gripe is that it makes a few loud "beeps" when the brew cycle is finished-this is not handy if you are worried about making noise for anyone still sleeping. Again though, the coffee is great. Don't be put off by the negative reviews. If you can walk and chew gum, you can make coffee in this. I worry that everyone that wrote of overflowing coffee filters and other odd complaints hold drivers licenses. "Disastrous", I purchased this coffeemaker a year ago, and if I averaged how many times it's overflowed, it would easily equal once a week! The lid has to be on "just right", (and it can look like it is) or its all over... literally. Once it overflows, it is impossible to clean the coffee and grinds out because the drip basket is not removable. Yes, the coffee does stay hot for a long time, however another major design flaw is the fact that you can't get your hand inside the carafe to clean it, and over time, residue builds up, a film forms and the coffee then smells and taste burnt. When I soak the carafe, clumps of burnt coffee pour out. Overall, this coffeemaker is a recipe for disaster. I would not recommend it. "Fantastic ", This product makes the coffee, shuts off and keeps coffee warm for hours and hours without changing the flavor. I have even got up the next day and get lukewarm coffee from this pot that still tastes like it was just made. "Fantastic coffeemaker", I bought this coffeemaker over 4 years ago and after daily use it is having some trouble so I ordered another one. I have rarley been this happy with any small appliance. The coffee brews quickly, comes out piping hot, and stays that way for 6 hours or more in the insulated carafe. Although it may be the Starbuck's Houseblend beans I use, EVERYONE who tastes my coffee says it's wonderful. There may a reason Starbuck's has chosen to sell this coffeemaker in their stores this year. For the price I doubt you can find anything better. "Works great", Makes delicious coffee and keeps it piping hot for hours. And I love that it uses a fraction of the electricity of normal coffee makers since it brews into the insulated carafe and doesn't need an electric hotpad underneath. The only downside is that the carafe and lid are difficult to clean. But it's worth that extra effort. |
