"must have product for a senseo coffee maker"
This is the best after-market pod-holder replacement that I have ever used with my senseo.
The coffeeduck makes your coffee taste better.
This product is easy to clean and can be put in the dishwasher.
If you have the ORIGINAL Senseo coffeemaker, I highly recommend this must-have product.

"A pretty useful gizmo!"
I was very skeptical about this as it seemed to good to be true. We have used it for some time now and it works really very well. It will occasionally leak but that is due to us being careless prepping it. It does take some fussing with to prep a cup and clean up but this is more than made up for by being able to drink the coffee we like and not having to buy the pods. I am very please with the Coffeeduck.

"Coffee Duck Review"
After reading numerous reviews, I decided to give this a try.
It works great. You do need to spend some time tinkering with amounts of coffee to get the taste you like. It also works best with a fine expresso grind (almost a powder). My burr grinder on expresso setting doesn't get it fine enough, so I buzz it in the old Braun chopper style to get it finer. You must remember to put the filter top on or it makes a mess.
The only disappointment is that is doesn't make the frothy crema that the original Senseo pods make.
I find if you fill the coffeeduck fairly full, you can get a nice 12oz mug by pressing the 2 cup and then the 1 cup with the same grounds. I think the payback on the price of this item is fairly short when you figure in how expensive the original pods are, and how inexpensive your normal bulk coffee is.

"Great, but has to be used correctly"
We read the reviews for this product and decided to give it a try despite the few people who had problems. I found that we can get two cups out of one brew by putting two Tbs. of coffee in the coffeeduck and LIGHTLY tamping it down. I have had the leaking happen when I tamp too firmly. We are very happy with this purchase overall and are very happy to be free of the expensive pods!

"Perfects the Senseo"
The pods available in the grocery stores are pretty good for ground coffee, but they just can't compare to fresh roasted and fresh ground from a local roaster.

I never drink from the office coffee pot, because it's always no-name canned coffee. I used to have a little drip machine that brewed into a travel mug, but cleanup was always a pain. So I've been using a Senseo for about a year here at work, and it's great. Cleanup is quick and easy, and it brews almost instantaneously. But I've been sorely missing the fresh ground coffee I brew at home.

Enter the Coffee Duck. I've been using it for about a month now, and I couldn't be happier unless it cleaned itself. It's easy to use, quick to clean, and the coffee tastes fantastic.

I think the only downside (and it's minor) is that the handle feels a bit flimsy. I can picture breaking or bending it if I'm not careful when I bang it on the side of the garbage can to knock out the used grounds. It's a very minor thing, really.

The Coffee Duck makes the Senseo what it always should have been. Buy one.

What our customer's say!

"Great Product!", I bought one of these & am well satisfied with it. So much more economical than buying pods! I get whole bean coffee & set my coffee grinder to the espresso setting & get a great tasting cup of coffee with lots of crema. Highly recommend the coffeeduck.

"leaks, no crema, messy to prepare/clean", tried filling it with coarse ground, fine ground, filling it 1/4 full, 1/2 full, full, and even empty(!). it leaks all the time. the resulting cup obviously varies depending on fill level of the ground coffee, but there is never any crema. it is way clumsier than the pods, anyone that thinks it isn't is crazy, maybe i'm a klutz but i always spill ground coffee when i try to fill it.

i think i got ripped off, buyer beware.

"Big money saver!!", All the reviews scared me...LOL. I have been very happy w/the purchase however. I don't have problems w/leaking so long as I am careful not to get the grounds out of the pod area. :) Works for me just fine!!

"It Works, but needs a lot of fine tuning", When trying this out the first few times I was very disapointed that with a coarse ground coffee it simply makes coffee flavored water.

After tinkering with some fine ground coffee (as the directions suggest) it brewed a much better tasting cup, however the two cup button for some reason only yeilded 1 cup of coffee.

Cleaning is a lot messiear than with the pods, but does rinse clean relativly easily.

If you really like your own coffee, this is a good option to try, however for the same effort level I almost like my own made pods with a coffee filter.

"defeats the purpose", I love the convenience of Senseo, not having to rinse anything out between cups (only periodic washing). This thing totally defeats that convenience by making you clean it every time you use it, even when you want to make more than one serving to fill a travel mug! Having Senseo in my office used to be great with the pods, but with this thing, I have to walk to the sink to rinse it off WAY too much. I guess I'll have to continue to pay for the convenience of pods.

Also, I used my favorite coffee in it and it comes out tasting worse than most of the pods I've used. Now if it did justice for my private blends, I might consider using it more in spite of the inconvenience. But it doesn't.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Now I can use my own coffee with Senseo", The reason why I got Senseo is because I needed a coffeemaker that can make my morning coffee fast. After regularly drinking Cafe Bustelo [...] made with a simple "cafetera italiana" [...] I was surprised how inferior the taste of Senseo coffee is in comparison. The coffee duck does what is supposed to do - it allows me to brew Cafe Bustelo in my Senseo which greatly saves time (1.5 min in Senseo v. 8 min in "cafetera italiana"). The cafetera's coffee still tastes much better, however Senseo's coffee is now drinkable.

"Absolutely great!", I just got this and I'm really enjoying it! Very easy to use and clean and I'm able to use any kind of coffee. I'm thinking of getting another as a backup-don't want to be without my duck!

"Just OK", I'm giving this one a 3-star rating. The item works ok, but I'm not thrilled with it.... For one thing, it doesn't seem to fit perfectly in my Senseo; there is some obvious resistance when closing the top and I am concerned that it might be putting too much pressure on the hinge.

There is always a lot of water left on top of the Coffeeduck, which makes it a little messy to empty.

Also, the Coffeeduck doesn't hold much coffee - even filling it full doesn't yield a strong cup of coffee. Even tried espresso roasts, but it didn't work as well as the paper pods.

Overall, I prefer my PerfectPods, which I can put more grounds into. But then, I like really strong coffee. :)

"Okay in a pinch..", I bought this based on reviews...it does serve up a foamy coffee like the pods and is easy to use and very easy to clean. It does "leak" half the time...I cannot figure out why, as I am meticulous about how I fill it. The coffee is okay, but not as good as the pods for coffee flavor. I will keep the duck to use occaisionally, but I still use the pods majority of the time for a really good cup of coffee.

"Wonderful!", I ordered this item because as much as I love the pods, they just don't come in a large variety. I have been using this for a few days now and I LOVE IT! Now I can have any variety of coffee I want. This would be a great gift for anyone who owns a senseo.
