"Junk", We use a coffee press, and drink a fair amount of tea. This kettle, which we received as a wedding gift, was used for < 6 months and the bottom fell off when we forgot & left it on the stove too long! In addition, prior to this, the sides started to scorch, and no cleaning product returned it to it's shine. And, the whistle worked occasionally, but not consistently.

If you want an expensive, attractive teapot to sit on the stove without being used very often, this is a great choice.

For us, it was a big disappointment.
