Others say...
"A really great coffee maker." This press is great. I love that the carafe is unbreakable, which is always a problem with glass versions. I haven't had any bubbling or cracking in the carafe at all, and I've had it for over a month. Another great feature is the screen that is attached to the cap and which sits behind the pour spout so you don't get a lot of grounds and such in your cup. Excellent idea and not all French press coffee makers have it. I got this as a Gold Box Deal, so only paid $10 for it, which made it an even better deal, but even at full price it's totally worth the money. "It does what it says..." What you see is what you get :) An easy to use coffee/tea press with frother. Although I liked my previous glass press, this plastic press works just the same. The bottom plastic coaster can be removed and be used for your cup or glass. The press top has a fine strainer attached to it where one pours from to catch any loose leaves. The plunger however is circled with rubber making difficult for leaves to slip by anyway. So there seems to be a good balance. For its price, you can't go wrong. Easy to clean, durable material and milk frother. I used oversized mugs so I get two servings per press. Wash with water and baking soda to help remove coffee smell if you want to use it for tea. "Bonjour coffee maker" This is a great buy. We take it along when we travel and make great coffee in our room. No more inferior coffee!! "Awesome product" I've only used it once but it is an awesome product. The coffee tasted great. It was a great price. "Overall pirce value ratio is good. " So far so good. I havent tried the press yet, but the frother is good. Overall pirce value ratio is good. I wouldnt say it was an excellent price but no regrets. The build quality seems to be good. I feel there are some minor design flaws but i never used a press before so i guess i am not qualified to comment on that (specially since i am yet to use it as well).

What our customer's say! "Small but good", The picture makes this press look larger than it is. It is pretty small, when they say six cups, they mean 6 actual cups in liquid measure, not 6 giant caffeine frenzy cups, which most coffee drinkers think of as a cup. Of course, this was an oversight I made, they aren't being untruthful about the 6 cups. Other than that, the frother is fun to use and works well. Coffee still tastes great, plus you get to feel sophisticated when pouring it out of your press. "nice set", I bought this set for the frother since it costs just about the same to get it as to get the set. The frother works well and the press is a good size for two of us. The only drawback is that there is no marking on the press to indicate how many cups. It's still a good buy and the seller is quick with delivery. "I was pleased", I received this product quickly and I am pretty happy with it. I just got back from traveling abroad and was unable to bring back we me the french press i bought there....will have to get next time when I return...and it is a bit nicer than this one. I got spoiled by my German one. I would say that it does a pretty good job though and the frother is pretty nice too. For someone who has never had a French Press you will love it. "bon appetite!", this is the best coffee press! IT IS HUGE and unbreakable! I highly recommend this coffee press!! It is like a half the price of other brands. But double the size!! (Plus you get the frother as a bonus!) Ahhh nothing like a Real cup of cafe in the morning. Cheers to that! "good coffee maker", First time using a coffee press. The coffee I used may have been too fine since there were some coffee sediment that slipped through the filter but not enough to affect my enjoyment of the coffee. Although I did not have any use for the frother, I did put in 2 batteries and turned it on in some liquid. It looks like it will do the job. The size of the coffee maker was just about right for the size of mug I use. It cleaned easily. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Good, uncomplicated, and simple.", I'm an occasional coffee drinker and just can't justify contributing any of my limited counter space to a drip machine, but still wanted to be able to have an alternative to instant (yuck!) when coffee is needed. I also was curious about french presses and at this price, decided to give a lower-end model a shot. This little guy works perfectly for me since it makes really good coffee and is a breeze to just rinse and set just about anywhere. I really like the fact that I don't have to bother with filters, either. Not being a coffee snob, maybe my tastes are unsophisticated, but the directions that came with the unit called for 6 (SIX) scoops of coffee grounds to be used in making a full pot, which seemed kind of excessive, but being new to it, I played along and nearly choked on the result! Way too strong for me. Of course, the instructions also list this as a six cup model, which is crazy. The container, if nearly filled with water/coffee only makes enough to partially fill (like 2/3rds full) two of my 10 or 12 oz mugs, so, for my tastes, that's just way too much coffee. I've found that 3 scoops works very well. The little milk frother that came with it is fun, too. In fact, we were really surprised at just how much volume it created in a glass of steamed milk, given its tiny size and seeming fragility. Overall, very very pleased with this unit. "Great French Press and Frother", My husband bought this press for me. The coffee it makes is excellent, espcially if you like strong coffee. The filter at the spout is a great touch and one of the reasons I chose this brand. This is the easiest and most flavorful way to make coffee. I have even used the store bought coffees in it and it works great. The frother is a nice touch. It froths even better than the frother on our espresso maker, and is easier to use. I accidently over whipped some heavy whipping cream too much one time and made cool whip, which was great on top of the cappucinos. All in all it is a great product, really the only complaint is that for two people it is a little small, but is so easy to use that we can always make more if we need it. I would highly recommend this product to anyone, especially anyone who is looking for a change from drip coffee makers. The coffee tastes better and the clean up is a snap. "Not really worth it.", I purchased this press for camping, and was initially happy with the performance. However, after only a few uses and only hand-washing, the filter started falling apart. The gasket wouldn't stay on, the screen fell out, and eventually the whole assembly fell off of the push-stem. We now have the Bodum 8-cup Stainless Thermal Press Pot and could not be happier with it. It's really worth spending a little extra to get something that lasts. "It's not a Bodum!", I purchased this cute little -- 3 cup -- coffee press a couple of years ago because I make coffee only occasionally. It did make good coffee for a while and then, after several months of intermittent use, coffee grounds began creeping into the coffee. Soon it became evident why: the filter was falling apart. Rather than the sturdy one piece metal and mesh that the Bodum coffee press uses, Bonjour uses plastic, fabric mesh and a silicon gasket. Once the gasket stretches out it will not stay on filter...and I always washed the filter by hand. The plastic container has also been a disappointment. As with most plastic washed in a dishwasher, it has become cloudy and dull looking. Even the spout of the Bonjour is so shallow that pouring a cup of coffee without dripping is impossible. Bottom line: it's a throw-away coffee press. If you like coffee prepared in a press, shop for something better and not that much more expensive. "Easy and delicious", I'm really lazy when it comes to making coffee at home and I've been drinking terrible coffee out of a timer drip machine for awhile, just so it would be ready when I wake up. The extra 5 minutes that it takes to boil the water and wait for the coffee to brew in this press are so worth it that the old machine is gone for good. There is so much flavor using this press, and the coffee is deliciously rich and dark. The frother works in seconds (I warm up my milk first for an easy, kind-of-cheating cappuccino). The carafe is supposed to be unbreakable and the pieces are easy to throw in the dishwasher. ![]() |
