"Poor quality - broke within a week", I've owned several french presses, and ordered this one from Amazon for my dorm room because it was the cheapest available. The plunger broke after the third day of use; I can snap all the pieces of the plunger back, but the small plastic piece that attaches them is not strong enough to hold under pressure, and the plunger comes apart when it's used. This model is poorly made -- I've broken the glass carafes of french presses before, but never the plungers. I'd recommend spending a bit more to get a model that will last.
