Others say...
"Not good as description. Won't recommend this product" Not working smoothly and sometimes might be stuck. How come this product claim it is convenient? I won't recommend people to buy it. "unimpressed" This product was very difficult to use. It did not chop the garlic the way I wanted it to. The wheels did not roll properly. Nice idea though. "Love the Garlic Zoom!!!" This is my favorite kitchen gadget in years. Seriously. I try not to buy too many gadgets, because they tend to just sit in the drawer taking up space once the novelty has worn off. But the Garlic Zoom was too interesting to pass up, and so far it has earned its space in the kitchen. Before I had the Garlic Zoom, I had two realistic options when I wanted "minced" garlic: I could mince it by hand, which works great but is time consuming and messy (my hands would smell like garlic for hours), or shove it through a garlic press which is convenient but doesn't produce nearly as nice results. The Garlic Zoom gives me the best of both worlds. It's almost as quick and easy as the garlic press (the only minus is having to disassemble it to clean it), and the results are as good as mincing by hand (better, if I'm being honest). If you cook with garlic a lot, the Garlic Zoom is worth picking up! "Works!" I don't know how this product works, but it does a great job at mincing garlic. Very happy with my purchase, would recommend to anyone as a cheap solution for mincing garlic. "Nice for large quantities" This is handy if you're mincing large amounts of garlic. It's too much trouble for just one clove. I almost gave up on it the first time I used it because I couldn't get it to roll. But I kept pushing it back and forth rapidly until it started cutting through the clove. Best way to get garlic smell off your hands is to wash them with a bit of liquid diswasher detergent.

What our customer's say! "easy to use", Very easy to use - I like the idea, but I do find that some of the garlic gets caught in the corners and around the wheels, so you lose some that you mince. "Not worth your time", This garlic crusher zoom is so not worth your time. First of all the garlic bulb gets stuck onto the small blades. If your lucky after a few minutes of using the garlic zoom the garlic is diced and now the question is how to get all the garlic out? Then you have to use your fingers which get all smelly. It's much easier to use the garlic press. "Awesome!", Chops and minces garlic with ease, not to mention helps keeps hands clean and free from garlic odor. Use caution while washing the blade. I would definately recommend this product! "Chef'n Garlic chopper, quite good", You put smallish pieces of garlic clove in the top and wheel the device to and fro. A wheel drives rotating cutting blades. Pretty quickly the garlic is either cut or turned into a paste, depending on its moistness. You snap open the device, push out the debris and reload for another batch. Another review mentioned clean-up. This is actually not bad, the device comes apart easily and the bits can be put in the dishwasher or soaked for a bit of a brushing out. It takes quite a bit of downward pressure to get the wheel to grip and thus drive the cutting blades. It would be hard to use on some smooth cooktops, I use a wooden cutting board. "Terrific, terrific, terrific!!!", I cannot say enough about this product. I love garlic so much and because of the time it takes to prepare I didn't eat it as much as I would have liked. Also I do not like the pre cut garlic that come in the jars, yuck! This lovely product chops and dices your garlic from chunky to fine depending on how long you "zip" or roll it. I like my garlic as fine as possible. I accomplish this by tapping the Zoom on its wheels after a couple of passes this brings the garlic pieces back down to the chopping blades where they are then re chopped thus making it finer. As you roll your Zoom the garlic has a tendency to stick to the top so by tapping the Zoom it brings it down. Cleaning is a snap, rinse, shake and put away. I wish there was something like this for ginger. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Chops Garlic to Desired Consistency--Careful on the Clean Up", This little device is almost perfect. It's fun to use, and you control the size of chopped garlic you need. (If you're a serious chef and can mince garlic behind your back with your eyes shut, you probably don't need this device.) The minor drawback is the clean up. There are two components to this little zoom; the garlic compartment and the rotating blade. You need to be careful not to hurt yourself when separating the two and removing your garlic. But, if you're patient in the kitchen (and not accident prone), that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the super cool zoom, Chef'n! "Wow! This is the best!", This is a must-have for garlic lovers! Heck, even if you occasionally need to chop garlic you need this! No mess, no smelly hands... just pop in a clove or two and 'rumm 'rumm (like a kid with a toy car) back and forth on the counter and Voila! - Perfectly chopped garlic! Open, scoop out and rinse. I just love this little invention! ...And (another topic) if you by chance get smelly fish, onion, garlic hands... there's a stainless steel little bar (like a soap bar) that you use like soap under running water and it totally eliminates all those smells! (I got mine at one of those 'kitchen' stores) Fabulous! I'd read that you can wipe your hands on a stainless steel sink to eliminate food smells on your hands. I don't have a s.s. sink so bought this and it really does work!!! ![]() |
