"Beer on tap in your KITCHEN?!!! WOW!"
I love the reaction I get when people see my beertender sitting on my kitchen counter. I would have put it in my living room near my bar, but I like to keep it close to the beer glasses that I keep in my freezer. This is a quality product that will get you plenty of compliments. Be sure to chill your kegs before you put them in the Beertender, it took almost two days for a warm one to chill in the unit. If you want to save some money, they sell the B90 version at that store that floods your mailbox with 20% off coupons. ($224 + tax)

"HEINEKEN BEER TENDERL"
ITS A LITTLE PRICEY BUT I LOVE THE BEERTENDER. KEEPS BEER NICE & COLD. EASY TO INSTALL NEW KEGS. BEST TO USE KEGS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN REFRIGERATED. I WAS GETTING TOO MUCH OF A HEAD AT FIRST BUT MY DAUGHTER IS A BARTENDER AND SHE SHOWED ME HOW TO POUR IT CORRECTLY. ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS I FIND MYSELF DRINKING TOO MUCH BEER NOW - GOES DOWN NICE & SMOOTH.

What our customer's say!

"It's fun", The beertender is fun, but it should explain to you that everytime you
change a "keg", you need a new hose. That was kind of a disappointment,
because I would have ordered extra hoses to save on shipping.

"Its great....when it works.....May have been rushed to market", ALas.....it seems I as many of the early adopters are learning the pain of the KRUPS BEERTENDER.

I was very excited for this product and my girlfriend bought one for me for my birthday in APRIL 2008.
THe product is well designed and works well when it works.
Problem is...I only used it 2x...and the unit stopped cooling.

One thing customers of this item should know is that you really aren't supposed to store a Heineken Draught Keg in it for more than a day (they say this in the manual) and that you are supposed to remove the keg and put it in the fridge if you plan on storing it longer.

ISn't that kinda stupid and defeats the purpose of such an expensive unit?? Also...it only uses Mini-Kegs that have their own CO2 pressuration built in like the Heineken Mini-keg.....so expect your choice (if any) to be limited.

Anyhoo, I used 2 Draught Kegs in a 6 week period....and the unit stopped cooling. I contacted KRUPS and received an RMA and had the unit shipped in for repair on 6/23/08. After hearing nothing I followed up on 7/24/08 as to the status of my machine, they apologized and put in a rush order to have a replacement shipped after emailing them 2x and calling.

My latest phone conversation (8/19/08) I was told that they had been backordered on the machine until this past week and should receive my replacement machine in 2 weeks....we'll see.

While I like the machine......the rep said that this being a brand new product for Krups they were experiencing issues in servicing of the unit. I am thinking this machine was not ready to be released and that the cooling unit is very likely to fail in every unit.

I would have to say there might be a better options if you plan to use this type of dispenser regularly.

"Heineken Beertender", This product performs as advertised, and is a great addition to the bar of any beer lover. The first part of a new keg is a bit foamy, but this goes away as the beer is consumed. It takes a while to reach it's green light (optimal operating temperature) even with a can straight from the fridge, but it keeps the beer at perfect drinking temp. I would highly recommend this item.

"Real disappointment", I received my Beertender as a gift from my wife and was initially quite thrilled. Unfortunately it did not cool properly. I contacted Krups customer service and was told they would immediately email me a shipping authorization to return the item for repair. After 5 weeks and 3 or 4 telephone calls I finally received the shipping authorization. I immediately shipped the item and called after a few days to follow up. Initally the Customer Service rep. was unable to locate the item, then after finally locating it, she informed me it should be back in two weeks or less. Approximately 10 days later I again called to check on the status and the agent again was initially unable to locate my Beertender. She then told me it was just checked in two days earlier. I questioned this and was informed "Oh, I mean it was ........" (more circumlocution).
Finally she informed me that it had been given to some person to check out and I should receive it back in two to three weeks. I informed her that this was unacceptable, I had been told that two weeks earlier and I then requested information on who was available to give me a straight answer and register my complaint. After much coaxing she finally gave me the name of her supervisor, a Mr. Pierre Ster..... I was informed he would call me immediately after his current telephone call. The next day at approximately 11:30 a.m. Mr. Ster.... did call, and, since I was not sitting around the house waiting for his call, left a message. Later that afternoon I checked my voicemail and called him. I was informed by the rep. that he was on a telephone call (sounds familiar) but he would call me immediately after he hung up. That was yesterday; still no call as of 5:00 P.M.today. Although this unit is a clever gadget, the total indifference exhibited by it's support personnel toward the customer (and buyer of a $300.00 toy)should preclude anyone from purchasing one.
You can still drink the beer straight from the keg's dispenser (good beer) without this fancy, apparently unsupported $300.00 toy. I would NEVER buy this unit if I had to do it again because of this incompetence and indifference and if this is indicative of Krups products and their support in the U.S., I will never buy one of their products again.

UPDATE: 8/20/08 I would like to thank representatives of Heineken beer for interceding in my behalf over this issue. Because of their interest and assistance in this matter the problem is currently being rectified. This was not their product but they felt it worthy to address. My thanks to them. Hopefully, this was just a "fell through the cracks" issue with KRUPS.

"good for small gatherings", This is a great item to have when you have a small bunch of people over. The beer gets really really cold and tastes just like tap. It goes quick so keep one or two in the fridge for on hand quick changes. everyone loves it. What can I say..."its a keeper"!!!!!!!
