"guitar hero ds" This was a great game and my 7 year old loved it! A good value at 24.99 with free super saver shipping. There is the new guitar hero on tour that is now released and I think we will buy this also. I think this game is easier than the real guitar version! "Fun..fun..fun!!" We can't expect Guitar Hero for the DS Lite to be as exciting in comparison with the console game versions. Although, if you step back and imagine that Guitar Hero was only available for the DS Lite, you would have to agree with me that this game rocks! I'm glad I purchased it from Amazon and I'm even more satisfied that I got it at a great deal which is why I purchased two of them. "Really cool -- but your hand cramps up" I bought this game so my grandson (he's 11) and I could play it. It's cool, and we love rockin' out, but I haven't figured out a good angle for holding it yet, so I can't play for long because my hand cramps up. It would probably help if the strap was angled a bit (instead of being straight) so my pinky could reach better. I actually do play guitar, but this is totally different and awkward for me. By the way, this game DEFINITELY plays better with headphones. "rock and roll fun on the go!" My girls just love guitar hero but what do you do when you aren't home - you take it with you! There has been a minor issue with the strap falling off, but all in all this is a great game. Having played the full size version, I wasn't sure how this would work but it really is a lot of fun and they have totally enjoyed it - a recommended gift for all the rock and roll fans out there! "So criminally fun it should be arrested" This game should suck. Everything about it screams "cashing in", and using a DS as an instrument??? Ridiculous! So why have I spent hour after hour playing this game when I have a much more comfortable version at home? Answer: because I'm not always at home, and this is the next best thing! ROCK ON GARTH!!!

"fantastic game", i have a guitar hero 3 for wii. so i wanted to be able to travel and play it. so i got this game. it is a great price,(now 29.99)november 28, a lot of good bands including red hot chilly peppers and smash mouth. "Fun Game", This game is pretty good, you can't play it for too long though and there are only 25 songs. You can earn more later on but they all stink. Fun game and a good replacement for Guitar Hero when you're in the car or something like that. "Just great!!", I love this game!! so interactive and it has even more funny features than guitar hero 3!! Excelent song repertory!! Highly reccommended!! "Guitar Hero", I don`t usually play many games but I really like this one. My kids play it alot to. It is fun and I like music alot. Its a game any age can play. Read this reviews before You buy... "Guitar Hero, it is... but smaller", Guitar Hero On Tour is everything you expect from Guitar Hero, but smaller. There are only four buttons, and a shorter tracklist. I picked it up during a Gold Box event, for $30. I don't think it's worth the normal $50 asking price. The song selection, I thought, was excellent. Guitar Hero III had a lot of "heavy" songs, while this one brought back a lot of songs I remember from my childhood in the 90s, as well as some of the songs you see on VH1's various "Top 100" programmes. I especially liked the inclusion of "Jesse's Girl." "Guitar Hero Life", I play the Guitar Hero on Wii, it is the best experience in my life, cus i don't play any instruments, and it makes you feel like a Rock Star, so i think i Have to Buy the Guitar Hero On Tour, and it makes you live the Guitar Hero experience to the next level. GHOT alone, isn't that much, but it gives you a lot of fun, not just for kids, but for all the family, but the most importatn thing is that you have to remember making pauses in between songs cus it really hurts if you get really exited XD... "Unleashing Our Hidden Rock Star", I really love my Nintendo DS, but I haven't found a game yet that really appealed to me. Lucky for me, the new Guitar Hero for the DS was sent to us to try out and I think I have finally found a game that makes me want to sit down and play..instead of doing all this mom stuff. The challenge is prying it from my husband's hot little hands because he has been walking around our house like a Rock God. You could say that the game is a bit addictive, even for us old folks! The game comes with a few songs on it and, through the power of your mad guitar skills, you can build up your song library with songs from a variety of genres like pop, classic rock, and alternative. The game comes with a little guitar pick that you use to play your songs (which is conveniently stored inside) and the multi-colored guitar pad to play along with the band. This is a great game because it can be played by anyone in the family. The game is intended for children who are ten years and older, but adults will love rocking it out to favorite songs from their youth. The game is challenging enough that it adds lots of variety to your Guitar Hero experience and you can play it using headphones, so as to not annoy the rest of the people in your family. "great game", its true to the guitar hero franchise and fun especially if you wouldnt otherwise have access to guitar hero. Pros: almost as fun as playing on xbox. portable. not too hard. Cons: crappy songs (well i think a lot of them suck) kinda small especially if u have wide fingers (mine are almost perfect because they are long and thin). Not as fun as playing GH3 or rock band, if you already have either of those this might be a waste of cash. really bad graphics. I have guitar hero for Wii at my dads house and its fun but at my moms house this is a great way to feed my guitar hero addiction. its pretty easy once u get the hang of it, i cant beat like the last 3 songs but besides that no complaints. "Fun for people who already like Guitar Hero", I was so excited when I heard this game was coming out for the DS, I actually pre-ordered it about 2 months ahead of time. The song selection varies enough to make it interesting to just about anyone, and they did a very good job of transferring the game to this portable platform. With that said, I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't already a fan of Guitar Hero on standard consoles. I imagine it would be a bit harder to learn from scratch in this format. I could be wrong, though. Also, I've noticed that some of my guy friends with larger hands have trouble with it because the "fret" buttons are so small. It's a lot of fun, though, and you can even play in public without embarrassment if you invest in a set of headphones. (To activate star power, it tells you to "yell" into the microphone, but blowing on it works as well.) Don't let the lack of a 5th fret button fool you - this version is still very challenging. I think it's definitely worth the money. |
