"Average chopsticks", I got these as a gift for one of my groomsmen who travels a lot and loves Japanese food. I was hoping the presentation would be better for these, but you get what you pay for. They come in a plastic case (it's not steel like it may look in the picture), and the case comes free floating in the Amazon box (I expected the case to come in some form of box that I could wrap, but had to find a gift box instead).
The sticks themselves are a good weight and solid stainless steel. There's really nothing fancy about them, and I went to an engraving shop and paid $20 to get his initials engraved on them, so I essentially paid twice the price of the chopsticks just to personalize them.
Still, my friend seemed to like them and I hope he will use them in his travels.
I was going to give two stars for presentation, but I'll give three because the price is right.


"for $9 and made in china; not worthy of", I purchased 3 of them; one has dent; one is too tight to close the top; it is not made in Japan, it is made in china... Not recommend

"Not bad, easy to clean", I've only used them twice so far, but they are easy to clean, and certainly handy. They have ridges at the tips to grip the food. I didn't have a problem eating with them, but I'm still getting used to how they handle. My chopsticks are very slightly crooked when assembled, and they are slightly awkward because they are so slippery. But the slippery-ness is also what makes them so easy to clean, which will be important when traveling.

"Saving earth one chopstick at a time", In my search to eliminate the need for single-use products, I came across these stainless steel beauties. Not only does the case keep them clean, but they screw apart to store in half, meaning they'll fit just fine in even the smallest purse or a pocket. Being steel also means they can be wiped dry and put back away immediately after washing and won't harbor mildew and bacteria in damp pore spaces.

"Awesome, but slippery", Really cool little item. Functional, stylish, and hygienic. The only downside is that they are a little slippery. It would've been nice if they had a little knurled part so you could get a better grip. Altogether, though, very much worth it if you use chopsticks at all.
