"Yoga mat is a must" I purchased this yoga mat thinking it would be different from the one I already owned. I thought it might be thicker or have something on it to protect it from getting damaged by the balance board. I was wrong. Any yoga mat will work fine. I've tried using my balance board without a yoga mat once and it was hard. I have carpet and I was sliding all over. I think having any brand of yoga mat is essential. This yoga mat is nice. It's not thin like some cheap ones are. I would recommend this one.If you can find a nice mat for a better price, get it instead. "good accessory" good idea! even though it's suggested for bare floors; I like using it on my carpet. I don't pick up as much lint, hair, etc. It just feels better on my feet, too. "Alternative that is better" I tried this mat and was not impressed. It definitely helps my jogging! "It's blue..." I at least expected a mat that was well proportioned for the balance board, and this just seems as run of the mill as anything else on the market. If you want special for Wii, go for the lime green one... or just get some cheaper, better recommended one in the health section. "Just not worth it", I haven't had any problems with ripping, tearing or holes - this mat has held up just fine for the past several months of use, and it's perfect for what I use it for: playing my Wii Fit and occasionally doing regular yoga. But it's just not worth the price when you can get a similar mat for $10. It's comfortable if you're using it on a carpet, but for hard surfaces I'd highly recommend finding something with more padding, as this mat is only about 1cm thick. "Not terrible. At $20 or $25, it seems a bit over-priced but not excessively so. Read this reviews before You buy... "Overpriced", This is the exact same kind of yoga mat you could find at Target or Wal-Mart for $10. The only reason this one costs more is that it is blue and they are marketing it for Wii Fit. The mat does not have any Wii logos or anything like that, it's just a plain blue mat. The mat is very thin and does not provide much cushioning. The only people I would suggest this mat for are people with very hard, slippery floors. The mat would be good to keep you from slipping on a slippery floor, but it does not do much else. The 5-star reviews for this product were clearly made by employees of the company that is selling it. Do not trust them. "What A Great Balance Board Mat by CTA", I have one word for this Balance Board Mat "WOW" This is my 3rd mat I bought but the first from CTA and I must tell you this is the best mat ever. I can start writing all the good stuff about this mat but I will never finish, All I can say is that this is my best 25.00 dollars I have ever spent. Thank you CTA for producing such a great mat. "Waste of money!", Get one of the other mats for $20 or less. Valeo Yoga and Pilates Mat (Purple) This thing is thin and sells for almost $5 more just because it's supposedly for the Wii Fit Balance Board. Trust me, you can't tell the difference between this and some of the more reasonably priced ones. I was really expecting more. Even a Wii logo would have been nice. "None Slip, feels comfortable, Just a Great Item", 2nd item I got from this company CTA, I have to admit they are a great company with quality items ,I got the mat Placed my Wii balance board on it It's perfect it will not let me slide or fall on my wooden floor. It's made of a soft, non-slip grip plastic material; my feet would not feel any uneasiness from it. Also, i use the mat in order to keep my Wii Fit all nice and clean. With many different people's feet stepping on and off of the mat, "Save your money", This is a very thin mat. It may keep the balance board from slipping on a wood or tile floor, but provides no cushioning at all. I'm afraid to use it on the carpet for fear of tearing a hole in it. |
