"Good performer, but what happened to the price?" These batteries at $49 were a pretty good value. They last for about a year and help your roomba save you time and effort. Considering how much work a roomba actually does on a single charge, it's amazing they last as long as they do. BUT, $69? Sorry, that's $20 too much. When this battery dies, I'm going to go back to my upright. I hate it when I feel like I'm getting ripped off. "Battery is itself is ok" The battery itself works like a new one, what else can one expect from a battery, so there's not much to say. However I agree with the other people here. I had this Roomba not quite 2 years and used it maybe every 1-2 weeks to clean under the bed and sofas. It's ridiculous that the battery died after such a short time. I was thinking about buying a new roomba instead of the battery, but when I learned that I would have the same problem after a year or two I decided against it and bought the battery instead. "Good replacement" This replacement battery worked great! Gave new life to our Roomba. Much cheaper than retail. "Good as new" After 2 years of using, my little irobot's battery became very inefficient(can only clean for 2 minutes before trying to get back to the base- funny to watch but painful to clean) so I purchased the battery. It works perfect and irobot works like it's new again. "it fixed the problem" I've had roomba for a few years now. Lately it would run for a few minutes and then stopped with the red light flashing. After I replaced the battery, it fixed the problem. Now it can run for about 1.5 hours and it does a good job.

What our customer's say! "Great battery!", I am very pleased with this battery! Now my Roomba works for hours since the battery is new! I'm very happy with it! "Roomba died, new btry could not help", IRobot customer service said replacing btry would make roomba work again. Ordered new one from Amazon. Roomba still dead at one and a half years old. Btry probably good. Wrote IRobot and said would not buy another because they do not last, and would begin advising friends not to buy one. "Quite good, if a little too expensive", I bought this seemingly too expensive battery to replace my original Roomba battery after it started to die on me after about one-and-a-quarter years of work. I should mention that it came in a parcel with just a plastic "baggie" around it and no manual or manufacturer's packaging (and for that it gets one star off). Another star off SHOULD be the price. (I thought about replacing only the rechargeable part of the battery inside - which would be cheaper in some case - but decided against it as I though if my saudering powers were a little off, I'd have to buy this battery anyway.) Still it seems to do the job well. Right now it's only a couple of jobs in, so no long-term rating yet. "Great", I robot 4905 Battery,, Bought this for my roomba Model # 4130. this is the first battery I have had to replace since I bought this 4 years ago. So far so good, I hope it last a long time. Shipping was fast. Great service. "iRobot battery", The battery was delivered in a very timely manner and was sufficiently packaged. I charged it for 24 hours and it worked wonderfully. I don't know how long the life of it will be, but so far I am very pleased. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Roomba Battery", Item was shipped quickly; very pleased with the battery. It re-charges faster than the original Roomba battery and lasts about 1-1/2 hours. "Bad battery", We got Roomba as a gift 1 1/2 year ago. We used it occasionally, and it worked fine, so we were very surprised when the battery died, shortly after 1 year. Unfortunately, the warranty had expired by then. The company customer service representative told us that we were not using battery properly. WOW! I assume that our relatives - 2 families - also didn't know how to use the battery, since they had exactly the same problem, even before 1 year. It looks like the company found an easy way of making an additional profit. I don't believe they cannot fix the problem - but obviously, it would take more efforts then just to trick customers into paying steep price for the batteries ($60-$70 apiece) all the time. "Long life", I can usually expect to clean 1 large or two small rooms without having to recharge--but I've never timed it. "SUCH A DEAL!", iRobot 4905 Battery Ordered a replacement battery for our Roomba robotic floor cleaner and was advised, by the manufacturer, that they are "on back order." Did a little surfin and low-and-behold, I found a vendor offering the same battery FOR LESS $$$. Placed the order and the battery arrived very promptly. Boy, I'm glad the manufacturer was out of stock on this item. "This Makes Three Batteries", I have now had to order my third battery for this Roomba. Like another poster the first one died within a year. This time it lasted about 1 1/2 years. At $50 a pop that is ridiculous and, after reading complaints here and on other sites, makes me wonder if it is planned that way, a vacuum conspiracy. As funny as that sounds, it is also based on experience. I have given two Roombas for Christmas presents and the same thing happened to them. They both went down before 6 months was up. I have yet to read a review in which the battery lasted more than a year. If this was a car company they would be under Federal investigation. They know they've got you over a barrel and I'd be willing to be that they earn the vast majority of their money through replacement batteries, etc. Well, since the thing is worthless without it I am forced to buy yet another battery. That's three in less than three years. There's definitely something fishy going on here. How else can you explain the fact that they keep producing defective batteries? As I said, in any other industry this would be enough cause for a recall. On another note, the vacuum works great when it works. But we are now approaching the point in which we've paid more for the replacement batteries than we did for the entire vacuum package. Not good business and if this battery fails I will not buy another. |
