Others say...
"Wow! What a ball." I had been smelling chlorine each time we turned on our water and decided that even though expensive, I'd break down and buy this ball. Wow! You can actually feel the change in the texture of the water. And our skin is now very soft (it's winter and we'd been having to use a lot of lotion, but not anymore!). My daughter thinks it's another fun step in taking a bath--she helps swirl it around in the water. I'm only a bit sad that it won't stay on my faucet as my faucet doesn't have the typical shower knob on it to hold the tie in place. Highly recommended for every household! "I will now ALWAYS have a bath / shower filter!!!" I have CONSIDERED bath / shower filters in the past but never really looked into the issues with chlorine in water you bathe / shower with until recently. It may seem logical but I was shocked when I learned that your skin can absborb more chlorine through your skin than what you would by drinking chlorinated water! Here I was concerned about the water we drink so we got a Kangen Water system and yet I did nothing to the water we clean our bodies and soak in. The FIRST time I used this, I noticed a difference in the water. Even my son noticed a difference in his skin, telling me that it was no longer itchy from the 'hot' (warm) water. It's hard to conceptualize if you've never experienced it before but it turns bath water into 'silky', smooth bath water. As I was swirling the ball around before my children got in their bath, I noticed that just by sticking my hand in the now dechlorinated water, that my hand was SMOOTH and soft without any residue or oiliness. If any of you have ever drank 9.5 alkaline Kangen water, water spun for an hour in a Vitalizer Plus machine or even bottled EON water, you'll know the difference in the 'texture' and 'feel' of the water. It's silkier, smoother, sweeter and 'thicker'...almost like a fine, full bodied wine. The TEXTURE (obviously we didn't drink it) of this water is almost identical. It makes your hair and skin totally smooth and silky! In fact, I loved it so much that the very next day after using this for the first time, I bought myself a shower filter!! And now, I'll be buying a shower filter for every shower head in our home. I have used both (shower filter and bath filter) now and personally, I THINK that the bath filter creates a smoother, silkier and thicker water because you can leave the ball in for longer vs the water simply running through the shower at a much faster rate. With that said, I still do love both and will NEVER go back!!! :-) In fact, if we travel, this ball is coming with us!! For interested individuals: I bought an Aquasana shower filter...I bought the version that ALSO removes chloramines as well as chlorine. It's my UNDERSTANDING that some cities use both chlorine AND ammonia to create chloramines because it's cheaper than using all chlorine. It's also my understanding that chloramines are more toxic for our bodies than just plain chlorine, although I am not thrilled at the prospect of chlorine leaching into our pores either! YES, you DO have to take a few minutes to swirl the ball around in the water but it's no big deal...I swirl it, then my children take turns swirling it then they get in. The directions DO say that you have to swirl the ball around for 5-8 minutes and is not effective if you try to simply hold it under the water spout because the water passes through it too quickly but considering the difference in our skin, it's worth it!!! I was in a hurry today and I put the ball in the water as the bath was filling up then we started swirling it in the water when the water was almost full. No biggie. Get it, you will NOT regret it!! Oh! and this vendor ships fast too!! :-) "works!!!" If you have chlorine added to your water it is well worth buying. "good product with a few setbacks" First of all this product definately works! I can tell a difference in the health of my skin and hair after only a few uses and i can even open my eyes under the bath water. something i could not do before because they were burned by the chlorine. However, this product is a little more trouble than its product description lets on. According to the description: "The ball can be swished in the water for 2 minutes or placed under the faucet" but the instruction manual clearly states: "The crystal ball was not designed to be hung from the bath tub faucet." Also, it states that the ball must be swirled through the tub for 5 to 8 minutes before entering. yes, sit by the tub and play with this ball for about 8 minutes every time you want to take a bath! Also, if you want to take a bubble bath or use bath oils or espon salts, you must wait until the tub is filled and the crystal ball is used before adding them, which pretty much means no bubble baths, how is the bubble bath going to foam if you can't poor it under the running water? Don't get me wrong this product works, just make sure you have a few extra minutes before your bath every time you want to use it. "Save Your Skin by Getting Rid of Chemicals in the Water" Since I bought a shower filter to save my hair from being dried out (it worked wonders, my hair has never been shinier)and I have very hard water - I began to worry about bathing in the unfiltered water from the faucet. I chose this bath water filter because instead of hanging over the faucet you simply drop it into the tub for five minutes before getting in. This way, the water pressure stays strong enough so my bubble bath really bubbles. This filter is not refillable & since I was just trying them out - I didn't want to spend the extra money for the refillable one. But I will probably go for the refillable version now since my skin definitely feels softer.

What our customer's say! "Ball Bath review", For the most part, I enjoy this product very well. But, it has a bit of trouble staying together once I start swishing it around in the tub. "Too much work", Chlorine smell in your water? Yep, this will take it out if you have 5-10 mins to swirl the ball around BEFORE getting in the water. But there also comes a time where I have to weight a products effectiveness against the work I have to do to make it happen. For $30 and a lot of lukewarm bath water, I can't justify wasting my time. I've decided to shower more, using a water filter of course. I'll save the bath ball for when I'm unhurried and have a lot of time to waste. Does it work? Barely... and then I'm still not sure I'm just imagining it. "almost perfect", it works!! that alone is worth it, the only downsides: it's time consuming and you can't put the bubble bath in the water until after the tub is full..but i love the fact that there is no more chlorine smell, no more itchy and dry skin, even without lotion "If you want healthy skin in a dry climate.......", As a chemist and applied mathematician in private practice for 25 years working with sufferers of environmental toxicity exposure, I work on the cutting edge of environmental chemistry and toxicology. Many revolutionary products are dismissed as quackery because of some people who use these products don't understand the theory behind the product so they don't appreciate or understand the product's use or benefit. This product delivers..the chlorine smell of our bath water in LA is dramatically reduced, our skin is no longer dry from chlorination of our bipolar lipid membranes of our skin cells and because of the unique quantum principles caused by phased arrayed crystals in the product, the water actually becomes slicker. It actually reduces electrostatic potential in the water which causes the water molecules to move in a less entropic fashion instead of random Brownian motion. The water molecules then no longer create the same density of polarized fat colloids in the water. Reduced electrostatic potential of the water means smaller fat colloids. Soap is fat and fat and water don't mix, fat is insoluble in water. Fat won't dissolve in water but you can reduce the colloid size of the fat just like lipoproteins in the blood stream keep cholesterol in a fatty suspension. Fat suspended in water forms colloids which then can leave "lumps" of fat on the skin. The water now has a detergent effect and reduces the fat colloid size and allows the soap to actually move in a more slippery fashion. This leaves a layer of consistent density lubricant on your skin instead of clumps of greasy fat. This aids in skin cleaning without causing dehyration because the water is actually trapped in the skin by the fat which helps keep your skin moist and smooth. Chlorine disrupts this process and allows your skin to dry out. Your skin has normal oil secretions that are broken down by soap in order to clean the skin surface and hair follicles out. The soap and shampoo now replace that oily layer after hydrating the skin which is the desired result. I have used products like this in the past because other than breathing and eating, the number one source of toxicological absorption is dermal contact and bathing and showering are the number one form of dermal contact you have that actually has a chemical effect on your skin. Living in dry LA it is essential to keep your skin moisturized. If you are a sick or poorly nutrified person, which many Americans are, nothing you can do on the outside can replace proper nutrition such as antioxidant and essential fatty acid intake that enhances skin cell metabolism , but this is definitely a product that should be a required hygiene strategy for maintaining health integrity in the toxic world we live in if you take baths. I have used dechlorinating shower heads for years with phenomenal results and this takes care of the bath equation. I highly recommend this product for anyone who has a chlorinated water supply and/or lives in a dry climate like the southwest US. "Okay But Time Consuming", It's okay not really sure how well it does with the chlorine without testing the water. If you follow the instructions of "dragging" the ball in the water for 5-8 minutes it gets old after awhile. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "It works. ", I'm not sure how well since I have never used anything like this before, but my bath water feel a whole lot better and I do not itch for an hour afterwards. I probably should have rated a 5 star, but I really have no base for comparing. I will definitely buy this product again. "De-Chlorinate Bath Water", This product works well. A bit confusing at first as to how to use, but seems to work in the bath. ![]() |
