"Function - acceptable; Form - just okay", The scale works to the specifications that were stated. Occasionally it doesn't turn on immediately, but so far it is still in working order. It is however the ugliest color. Not sure what I was expecting but it wasn't this. It looks very cheap. However I suppose for the price I can't complain.

"My favorite new kitchen toy", I was a bit skeptical over whether or not we needed a kitchen scale at all, but my husband wanted one for his birthday, so I picked this one out for him on Amazon because of all the positive reviews. To my surprise, I found myself using the scale quite frequently for international recipes that call for ingredients in weight, and it performs beautifully. I've had excellent success with these recipes thanks to the scale- and I appreciate its light-weight, yet sturdy construction. I can't tell you how many times I've dropped the scale out of sheer clumsiness and yet it still works perfectly and accurately. It's also really easy to store out of the way on a shelf because it is so slim and lightweight. I love this scale and would totally buy it again or buy it as a gift for other cooking enthused friends. :)

"Terrific multi-use scale", I work out of my home and use this scale for mail as well as in the kitchen for food and ingredients. I have found this scale to be very accurate as well as consistent all along the weight gradient up to the very maximum.

My wife and I are thrilled with this purchase. The price is well worth it.

I love the tare weight feature.

Only thing that I don't like (and someone else also said this) is that it is easy to block the display with very wide items. That doesn't happen very often with food items, but it does come into play when I use it to weigh things before shipping them.

"good scale", i like this scale. it's perfect for my purposes, and it's red, my favorite color. i often measure portions of food, and this scale is perfect for that purpose. it can gives results in either ounces or grams.

"I'm sure it's functional, but...", I'm sure it's functional, but it looks rather ugly. Needing a kitchen scale, I made a quick and un-researched buying decision based on the strength of the reviews for this product. In particular, one of the first reviews I read was "the scales are very attractive," and so I hit buy without a second thought.

Upon receipt though, my take is that it's not terrible but it does look rather like something you'd pick up in Chinatown. Cheap plastic, cheap "chrome" paint, a flimsy feel and a proportionally small measuring surface. I've decided to return it for something a little prettier and a little more expensive.

"Love it!", I am so glad I bought this scale. It is very light weight and easy to move around since it runs on batteries. A nice feature the scale offers is the ability to set an item on the scale and then reset the weight, so it is only weighing additional items/ingredients. I looked at several other scales on amazon, but decided on this one because of its high rating. I am very pleased with my choice.

"Does what it's supposed to do- how refreshing", I needed a low-cost scale for the weekly weigh-in of my pet guinea pigs. This one suits my needs, and did not cost as much as some of the fancier models with features I didn't need. It seems to be accurate- I weigh an inanimate object to see if it weighs the same, and it does every time. I am able to use whatever container I want with the tare feature, and the scale does not take up a lot of space on my supply table. A good buy!

"Great Scale!", This scale is perfect! I use it everyday in the kitchen and it works great! Yes, it feels somewhat flimsy, just don't bang it around and it will be fine. Will definitely buy again if needed!

"Digital Scale", I have found this scale to be very useful in both baking and savory cooking. It's light weight and easy to use.

"Alternative uses", I use the scale to measure out epoxy resins. Since the ratio has to be perfect weighing the epoxy mix is the ideal way to get a perfect mix. It also saves the expensive epoxy because I only make the exact amount I need. I use a second one in my kitchen for the more traditional uses.
