"Great cook's gadget!", This colander is wonderful! It is big enough for vegetables, pasta, etc. But it collapses and takes up no space in your cabinet. My old colander takes up half the cabinet. "Good for small spaces", I purchased this to use in our cabin which has a very compact kitchen. It definitely solves the space problem and does a good job of straining.

"Easy to store...", I purchased this colander for a gift so I can't comment too much on its functionality. I chose this one over the one without feet because of its hands-free use. I pushed it out, & stood it up to check its stability. The legs are about 1/2" high; the colander appears to be very sturdy, has strong easy to grip handles and should keep its shape when you pick it up to pour out the contents. It's dishwasher safe and can also be used for steaming vegetables. It's made in China.
