"Does not work!" If I could rate this 0 stars, I would. I rarely return things, yet I was not going to let $20 go to waste on this. It made more of a mess than anything, leaking and spitting water. It does make steam, but is awkard to hold and the steam comes and goes. "The girl is pretty, but the product is miserable" Wow, she is so hot... I bought the product, but it turns out that the product is not very good... "If it sounds too good to be true . . ." I read the instructions and followed them explicitly. It seemed to heat up, but steam never came out. I thought maybe just the one I bought was defective, but after reading these reviews I'm sure it is the product itself. Oh well, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is (I hate ironing!). "Very disappointed" I asked for the Steam Buddy for my birthday last month and couldn't wait to plug it in and try it. I was really looking forward to saying goodbye to hauling out the ironing board and setting up the iron to press a few wrinkles out of my cotton garments. To say I was disappointed is an understatement! They made it look so easy on the commercial, that the wrinkles just fell out! Well, let me tell you that the wrinkles on MY clothes are still hanging in there after many, many tries. The thing spits and sputters water all over the garment and the wrinkles are still there! I read the instructions carefully and followed them to the letter, so to the fella that says that all of us that give negative comments are stupid and aren't using it correctly, I say to him, I'm proud for you and glad that you are satisfied with your steam buddy. You must have gotten the only good one! "Steamed" in Texas "Hunk-a-Junk! " Thank goodness I purchased this at a local store instead of having it shipped to me. It spurts the steam out erratically, and it makes a horrible noise while doing it. It says, hold the button for a constant stream. They mean a constant stream for about 5 seconds and then it fizzles out. It's basically a water gun, with a heater and multiple holes! Please don't waste your money on this.

What our customer's say! "Don't Buy This Product!!!!", If you want to save yourself from getting pissed off, don't buy this product. It does not work well at all: When you press the button, little tiny spurts of steam come out.... but only so much that you have to hold the steamer up against something dark to even see if any steam is indeed coming out. If you get this product and there is condensation inside the plastic reservoir, that is actually normal. Moisture is there because they tested the steamer to see if it works. I learned this by reading the very short manual that which is included with the steamer. Seriously though, don't buy this product. "Fraudulent ordering system", I also went to the website to attempt an order. The site has you enter all the info for credit card and address BEFORE they show the total with shipping. I also saw the rediculous shipping charges and closed my browser WITHOUT pressing the submit order button thinking this would naturally avoid any ordering confusion. WRONG!!! I closed the browser and reopened it to check email. I found the email from them saying congratulations on the order. I imediately called the phone number on the site to cancel the order. The voice menus naturally wont get you to a customer service agent, you can only order. I then saw the online chat feature of the website. So it appears the item was cancelled but the method of sending an order without using the submit order button is very very sneaky. Hopefully this will give others a quick way to contact the crooks about a cancellation, telling of the online chat method. I am surprised at this since ole Billy Mays is hawking the junk. I see now how all those gadgets on tv offer refunds, because you pay for it in shipping then they dont care if you pay to send it back. You are paying for it by just paying outrageous shipping. I wish I had read these reviews before attempting an order "ruined my silk shirt", was very excited to use this product but cost me more than it was worth. on the first attempt of steaming, i pressed the steam button and it blasted steam and mineral deposits onto my blouse. i have a nice imprint of mineral deposits from the steam buddy's 5 holes on my pink blouse. there is no way to "keep a steady stream of steam" as i tried for an hour after but it did not get rid of any wrinkles, instead just a ruined blouse. if you care about your clothes, DO NOT even TRY this product. "Steamy in Annapolis", I would like a shot at using the Steam Buddy on the two 5 star reviewers,on the zipper area of their pants after they have put them on.Ouchies,dagoneit only if the damn thing worked would it hurt. "Very Sneaky Order Placement", I did not even get a chance to order this item and already have issues with it. I was about to submit an order at their website for this product and started to read some of the other reviews. Well, I changed my mind based on the reviews and cancelled my browser. Guess what, that submits your order. Now I have to go ahead and cancel this order that I never placed in the first place! Oh and by the way, there is another person who wrote a review that can't understand why it cost $15++ to ship it, well that is because as part of your order, you get a free attachment for creases and you are charged $6 for shipping even though its supposedly free and there is no way to remove it from your order. Stay away from these people, they are sneaky! 
Read this reviews before You buy... "What a Terrible Product", I saw the infomercial on the Steam Buddy several months ago and thought that it would be a very handy item to get wrinkles out of clothes quickly and effortlessly. Boy, was I wrong! After waiting forever for the item to arrive, I filled it with water and plugged it in. After a few seconds (as advertised), the red light went off which signaled that it was time to steam. After pressing the handle three times and getting three small puffs of steam, the red light comes on telling me to wait for the unit to heat up again. This has pretty much been the story of my life ever since. I've even tried plugging it in and letting it sit while I take a shower thinking that if it took longer to heat, the steam would last longer - no such luck. Three puffs of steam, another 3 minutes to wait for the unit to heat up again, then again, then again. It also doesn't remove wrinkles as it so fervently states. I've wasted many a Monday morning attempting to steam wrinkles out of simple polo shirts to no avail. It would be much easier (and take less time) for me to put up an ironing board, plug in my iron, wait for it to heat, then use it to iron my clothes than using this piece of garbage. I'm officially done with Billy Mays-endorsed products. "Can we rate it LESS THAN ZERO?????", Here are the cons: 1. Does not work (the steam spurts erratically) 2. Falsely advertised (it does not remove wrinkles!!) 3. Shipping charges inflated (why is the s/h nearly as much as item itself when the box is a little larger than a long shoe box)? 4. You will need to pay for return shipping when you promptly want your money back for this total piece of junk! Here are the pros: If enough potential buyers read these accurate reviews, they will save themselves the time, trouble and aggravation and not buy this product. It is totally ineffective and useless. Any sham company can create a t.v. commercial, but unless it is a proven product with honest results from real-life testimonials, the staged results on the commercial are little more than paid actors making a fast buck. Save your money. I wish I had! "The only thing that will be steamed is you if you buy the Steam Buddy!", I usually find products endorsed by our old tv infomercial pal Billy Mays fairly good but folks, take a PASS on this one! The only thing that will get steamed is you! I tried this on simple pillow cases fresh out of the dryer,hoping to press out those curling edges. Other than a moist pillowcase, not a wrinkle was removed. I moved on to a silk night shirt, same result. Gave it one more chance with a brand new men's shirt straight out of the package...nothing.. What I found even more interesting is that "steam" does generate from the handpiece but it is not very hot..I would not recommend this product at all "Only good for very small stuff", I wish I'd checked the other reviews out before wasting my money. This machine is only pretty good on very small items. On the commercial, they show someone steaming out curtains - NO WAY! I tried and gave up after I realized I'd be there for about the next ten years trying to get the wrinkles out. And the shipping and other fees are ridiculous and drive the cost up. "WHAT A WONDERFUL PRODUCT!!!", I will honestly never iron again. The Steam Buddy takes a bit of practice but once I got the hang of it I became almost addicted. It saves me so much time and it's fun to use! I recommend filling up the entire thing and waiting an extra couple of minutes for it to heat up more than the indicator then it gets out all of my most stubborn wrinkles with ease, EXACTLY like on the t.v. ad. No more ironing board, iron, or any of that annoying time consuming bulky junk ever again. The people who gave this product a negative review or either out of their minds or don't know how to use such a simple gadget. They probably don't think their remotes work either. *smile* Trust me you with love this product if you spend 3 minutes learning how to use it correctly. |
