What our customer's say!

"These really work!", I originally bought these on a whim, knowing that silver is a recognized deterent to bacteria (silver rods can be found in the latest humidifiers). I've been able to keep fresh strawberries refridgerated for a month to find them 98% as fresh as the day I stored them! I've been able to keep cut onions for 3 weeks and find them as crisp as the day I sliced them. The large containers keep bread mold free for 3-4 weeks! Not mention fresh mint and herbs for several weeks! I'm hooked! Just don't use a knife in them and I'd recommend not microwaving, using the dishwasher or freezing for longevity of the seals. Also, if you do freeze them, the containers are more suceptible to cold breakage if dropped.

"Oso Fresh is a Keeper!", I bought these from Sharper Image back when they were Fresher Longer containers, and they proved amazing. My strawberries lasted two weeks when kept inside, and tomatoes seemed to keep forever. It is no joke to say that some sliced turkey outlasted a two-week vacation, and when I got home, was still good enough to eat.

The boxes are freezer-proof and in fact prevent freezer burn and the loss of flavor that often takes place when food is kept too long in sub-32°F temperatures. I defrosted peas after two years kept frozen in a fresher longer container, and they were still delightfully tender, juicy and sweet. I do not like to cook in anything plastic, esp not when impregnated with nanoparticles, so I cannot speak to their microwavability, though the package claims it to be perfectly safe. My only reservation, and it seems scarcely that since I am going to replace them, is that these food containers do wear out: once the yellow coloring fades, their "magic" ie the anti-bacterial and anti-decay properties of the silver nanoparticles seem to diminish and food starts to decompose at a more or less normal rate. This seems to be universally the case no matter what foods are stored in them. The color usually lasts a good 3 years on average. I do NOT, however, recommend storing coffee beans in any Oso Fresh or Fresher Longer container, as these seemed to fade one container I had within a few weeks time...

I do not know what the Oso Fresh or Fresher Longer people would say to this, but it is what I have learned from over three years experience, most of it very, very satisfied, with these containers. I highly recommend them and would estimate that despite having to replace some or most of them after 3-4 years, I have gotten my money's worth both in the ability to buy in bulk (important for a single person who wants to save money) coupled with the prevention of food wastage. Now, instead of throwing them out, I use the still very sturdy boxes for other purposes: pens and pins and papers and other household doodads go into them all quite neatly, with the tops locking down with a satisfying snap!

"FINALLY! I've been looking all over!", I bought a similar 4 piece set at the Sharper Image when these were known as "Fresher Longer" containers, thinking that I shouldn't waste the money on the big pricey set since I didn't even know if it worked. Then I promptly went back and bought more before they went out of business!
I filled up each container and still have so much I want to put in them. These things are great, and they work just as promised - fresh fruits and crisp veggies. The veggies in my fridge that didn't fit in the containers are starting to show their age, and the ones in the Oso Fresh containers are as fresh as day one.
I had researched a similar competitor's product (Debbie Meyer) that other buyers had said smelled bad... there's no such problem with these containers. Perhaps the best part of having these things is that you can stack other foods on top of your fruits and veggies, so it frees up fridge space, and organizes it as an accidental bonus.
So to recap:
1) Money saved on fruits and veggies that last for weeks not days.
2) Dishwasher safe.
3) Money saved on bread, crackers, cookies, and dog treats that don't go bad.
4) Refrigerator organized!

PS: The price at Sharper Image was higher than amazon's, with less pieces... so this is a deal.
