Others say...
"No product!" I never did receive the pan. Macy's sent a number of automated responses to my inquiries. Finally, they agreed to resend it, but I still don't have either a pan or my credit. "Great pan. Great price." I am a buyer who researches products thoroughly...like I read every review I can find on the Internet before purchasing! I can tell you now, these pans do not cut the inside coating of my dishwasher racks, they have not had any rust, they shine up perfectly with an occasional use of Barkeeper's Friend, they are well-balanced, they heat up quickly and retain the heat long after they are turned off. So, twenty minutes later food is still warm if pan is left with the lid on. Also, you would really have to work at it to burn something in this pan. I don't know the reason why, but even when I have forgotten something when cooking, food is well done, but not burned. I suspect it is the heavy bottom layer of the pan. In addition, some people have complained about the handles. When just warming up food, they are usually still just warm to the touch. I keep potholders near my range and the handles are large enough, so you can grip them easily. Not a big deal. I would not hesitate a moment to buy these pans. In fact, I have just purchased a skillet in the same line. "Perfect little pan" I have a larger pan from this "family" and I love them both. I wait for them to go on super-sale, then snatch them up one at a time. Great heat distribution, looks fabulous. I don't put these in the dishwasher, so maybe that's why they shine so brilliantly. Anyway, I love them both. "Agree with Everyone Else, These are Great" I purchased 4 of these pots in various sizes and agree they are fabulous. I have used them now for about 6 months and still love them. Fabulous value but high, high quality! Easy to clean and love that they can go from stove into the oven! You will not be disappointed! "Product Gets Rust Stains" We are disappointed in this product. We purchased a set of these. We have only had the pots for a few months and two of them, the 3 quart one, and the larger 8 quart one, both have gotten MULTIPLE SMALL CIRCULAR RUST STAINS all over the bottom (inside where the food is cooked). I have tried to scrub these rust stains off, and they don't respond to cleaning.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Sauce Pans
What our customer's say! "Stainless Cookware", Needed to add this size to my other Cuisinart cookware and love it. Very good quality and cooks quickly and evenly. "Mfg price is phony", Good pot, but Amazon is inflating manufacturer's price. This pot goes for $69.95 on Cuisinart site. So Amazon is nocking off $10, but is attempting to lead one to believe it is even more! Shame Amazon! "As always, Cuisinart delivers", I have purchased almost the entire Cuisinart classic line, and purchased this saucepan for my daughter. As the pieces come on sale, I add to her collection, and mine if I don't already own it. These products cook evenly and clean up the easiest of any cookware I have ever owned. Manufacturer instructions say you can put them in the dishwasher, but I prefer to wash them by hand which is a breeze. The exterior shine has stayed stellar in spite of repeatedly use and washings. I also own some pieces of a much more expensive stainless cookware set (ends with "clad").... and I find the Cuisinart to be as good in the cooking of food, and actually much better in the clean-up of the pot/pan. I highly recommend this product. "Excellent value and quality", This saucepan is the perfect complement to my Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless 12-Inch Everyday Pan with Medium Dome Cover, when I am cooking a chicken or steak in the large pan (or my trusty 12" cast iron pan), I am usually making a sauce or boiling vegetables in this not-so-small saucepan. It is a truly versatile pan, I have used it to boil a few eggs, steam vegetables, melt chocolate, warm up left-over soup, make masala chai (it's easier than most people think and VERY tasty), or even bake a small cake in it! I can't possibly list them all, this is my second most used pan, a close second to my Lodge Logic 12" cast iron pan. Don't be fooled by the price tag, this may be a cheap pan, but it is certainly not cheaply made. Handle is sturdy, and the lid fits tight, and it will stand up to 450 degrees of heat in the oven (from the manual, although I never pushed it to that extreme heat). It has a rather heavy bottom for heat retention, which is exactly what I want. This is also a perfect pan for making a little one-person meal. I am a little embarrassed to admit, but I've made ramen noodles in this pan on some late nights. Beginner or seasoned home cooks alike, I am sure you'll find this pan to be an excellent investment for your money. Pros: ===== - Well made - Versatile (from sauce to dessert to tea making to a small lasagna) - Well priced - Can be nuked in the oven up to 450 degrees Cons: ===== - Stainless steel needs a little more care than non-stick cookware, and may colorize over time... but that's really just a general stainless steel cookware issue "Beautiful and durable", Works like a charm if taken care of properly. Great product I hope to have to cook dinner for my grandchildren 30 years from now! ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Excellent!", Best cookware I've ever owned. Cooks evenly and easy clean-up, finish stays factory bright. I wash it by hand though, so can't say if it stays factory pristine if you put it in the dishwasher, even though the manufacturer states you can. Highly recommend this cookware line. "Best cookwear I've ever owned!", I've purchased a number of types of cookwear over the years, but none have compared to Cuisinart's Chef's Classic line. I own almost the entire line, and am very satisfied with the way food cooks in this cookwear. I'm even more impressed with the easy clean-up of this finish. I don't put it in the dishwasher, even though the manufacturer states it can be cleaned that way. For the price, these products are top of the line. I've also purchased 6 pieces of this cookware for my daughter. I highly recommend this product. "Cookware lives up to expectations", Needed some replacements for a couple of aging non-stick pans, and decided to give some higher quality stainless a try. I bought the 3-quart and 1.5 quart Chef's Classics through Amazon at the same time, prompted by favorable reviews I'd read online. I'd tried stainless in the past, but it was bargain priced stuff and performed similar to its price. When the product arrived I was impressed with the heft of the pans and their very nice appearance. Cooking with them has been a pleasure, but it is necessary to reduce the temperature levels on the range. My range is electric, and I find it works best to start the pan out on high for a couple of minutes to get the heavy bottom material heated, and then reduce to a little under or over medium for most the regular cooking/sauteing cycle. As noted before, the pans have a very nice finish, but certain cooking tasks do leave spots and stains - nothing to effect performance, but a little unsightly. These clean up easily with a dab of stainless cleaner I'd purchased for cleaning stainless steel sinks. I'd purchased this cleaned at one of the home improvement stores. A small bottle would probably last for years. As someone else noted, the pans to have some rather industrial strength rivets attaching the handles on the pan and the lids. Guess they could be spots where grime and grease could accumulate after extended use, but as yet have not found that to be a problem. "Wonderful saucepan", I purchased this saucepan 4 months ago, and it's been a rare day since then that it hasn't been used. It's a great, easy size when cooking a sauce, or veggies for two, among many, many other things! It holds heat so well and cooks perfectly even. Plus it's a beautiful, shiny pan - even after so much use. The inside bottom does have some surface scratches from my whisk :) but it doesn't affect its functionality in any way. After having owned this pan, I would gladly purchase it again, even at its full retail price -- it's worth it. But fortunately I doubt I'll have to as I'm sure this one will last me a lifetime! "Pretty Pan", This 1-1/2 quart saucepan is a delight to use and even looks good on my stove. I have used it for rice and for cheese sauce. It perfect for these things and works fine with a lower flame than other pans I have. Bill Green ![]() |
