"She liked it!" I bought this as a gift for my cousin. I didn't get a really good chance to look at it before it was packed away, so I can't give as good of a review as others have. But, just wanted to throw in what I heard my cousin say about the throw to other relatives at the Christmas party. She loved it! She thought it was very soft and large. Apparently her kids tend to commandeer her Christmas goodies, but she was quite adamant that they weren't going to get THIS blanket. So I think it's safe to say that it's a good present and a good blanket (from the initial reaction, at least). I'd recommend it to anyone thinking of getting one. "Would buy the Pinzon throw again." I ordered before the price drop, but liked the throw enough to order more. Very soft, and not to large. Just what I wanted. "Very Soft! I want more..." This is a great throw blanket. My two year old absolutely adores it. Once there are more colours in stock, I will stock up. For $9.99 you really can't go wrong. "Oh, So Very Soft" This very soft throw arrived yesterday. I purchased the red throw and the color is just gorgeous. Soft, soft, soft. Confession: I was not paying attention when I put it into the washer straight out of the package. The label says wash in cold water. I failed to see that my washer was set at hot. When I realized what I had done, I pulled it out of the wash but not before it had sat in the very hot water for about 20 minutes. I then proceeded to wash it in cold water. Even with my mess up, the throw came out plush and soft. I was fortunate that I did not do any damage with my error. Please do not make my mistake. I probably would not have normally washed it straight off but it was sparking and filled with static electricity so I had to deal with that. When these come back in stock, I plan to buy a couple of more, especially at $10 each. "Great Buy" Purchased 5 of the throws for gifts. They are great--cant go wrong for this price. Thanks Ron

"Very Cozy", I have purchased 4 of these already, have two espresso and two red. Got them as Christmas presents for me and some family members. They are not very big, but that's the size I purchase, but the size is ideal to snuggle in the couch and watch a movie or in bed. I personally use mine over my comforter during winter time, so my feet can warm up quickly after jumping into bed. It's soft and very warm. highly reccomend it. I only wish I could be fully ensconced in this material. It feels warm and plush against your skin without the weight of other blankets or throws. When they arrived, I immediately ordered one for myself. It is so warm and comfy that my husband kept stealing mine from me. This year, I bought him one and gave them as my office gift to my support staff. They cannot stop raving about the blanket and won't let their kids near it. I have the gold and chocolate ones. Beautiful colors. I have had no trouble with washing them at all. "Nice throw", I bought this for me because my hubby keeps stealing my blanket. I purchased the red & it's a pretty color. It did have a strong chemical smell when it 1st arrived but went away after I washed it. It washed well & I haven't had any of the "shedding" problems that some have reported. It is very soft & comfy. Overall I am happy w/ my purchase. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "So soft!", Just recieved this throw in red & i am amazed at how soft it is! I LOVE it and i think i will buy another one. Only thing i noticed is that when i removed it from its package some red fluff flew out, but it does not seem the blanket sheds. Overall $16(with shipping) for it was worth it for me :) "Tremendous value for quality", I bought 4 throws at $19.99 for various aunts and friends at Macys on sale. Then when I went back to the store, they were all out.....so I ordered what looked like a similar item from Amazon at $9.99 and they were just as nice. Warm, plush, luxurious. Just a note - a $10 throw from Columbia was very thin in unsubstantial so buy the Pinzon if trying to decide between the 2 throws. "Soft as kitten fur!", OMG, this is an incredible throw, and an incredible buy! This is softer than anything I've ever felt before, except for the softest kitten fur. I got 2, and I'd buy more if I hadn't already finished my X'mas shopping. "daughter's "cozy" blanket", I bought this for my daughter's bed (she's 4). She LOVES it! I ended up buying 2 more because I'm sick of moving it from room to room. She is picky about blankets, but adores this one. Personally I am happy with it too. It IS better quality than the $5 cheapies. It is thicker and better made, not to mention fuzzier. For only $10, I've have recommened these to my friends too. "Not warm, but fuzzy", I received this product today and decided to wash it with fabric softener so it would be just right. I heard the crackle of static electricity as I removed it from the package, so the fabric softener ended up being a necessity rather than a luxury. The Pinzon throw is very soft, well stitched and seems to be of decent quality. It went through the wash and dry cycle fine without any fading. (I chose the red one.) However, it is not very warm and I certainly would not call it thick. It didn't even take the chill off during those cold moments right before the heat kicks on. It provides about as much warmth as those very thin fleece throws- the ones that cost $5 or less. Despite its extremely soft feel, I think it should be a least twice the thickness if not triple. I am a bit concerned about the long term durability. According to the package label, this Pinzon throw is an Amazon.com exclusive. The package label also states Amazon's return policy. I considered the purchase price and chose 2 stars b/c of the texture and appearance. If I had paid full price, it would have only been 1 star and I would be seeking a refund and avoided this site for a few months. |
